More proof of life; I saw people on site working this week!

    Toronto Bike Share

Would love this. For instance, last weekend I had to get down to the CNE grounds but there was a planned TTC line 2 outage on the segment by me. So I took BikeShare along the protected Bloor lanes instead of the shuttle buses, but because I don't feel safe riding on Dufferin I docked and took...

    Shabby Public Realm

Speaking of Martin Goodman Trail and shabbiness - does anyone have any lore about this abandoned and fenced off looking castle structure that's close to the Casimir Gzowski Park? On Google Earth it's been fenced off and vacant since 2009. It shows the structure was under construction in the 2007...

    Toronto Pacific Residences | 28.3m | 8s | Old Stonehenge | Core Architects

Hope this one is open later than 7pm and also on Sundays...would be a unique offering for the neighbourhood. Also, the sidewalk is looking horrible. I wonder what went wrong here?? Sinkhole? The intersection has been flooding/getting fixed by the city regularly on this corner for at least a...

    Shabby Public Realm

I couldn't see a category on 311 to report this. Been over a month without collection (according to my previous photo) and now there's a taped up sign, I'm not sure if officially by a city worker or just someone went rogue and slapped duct tape over the collection bin at Bloor & Runnymede:

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

When I was at the new T&T on Edward Street this weekend I learned that as of next week they're extending their hours till 11pm daily (currently 10pm). I love grocery shopping at night so it's heartening to see this!

    The Junction

They're still working on the siding on that building but in the window it says a medical clinic/family practice is coming soon. "LUSO Medicine" is the name.

    Toronto 260 High Park Avenue | 19.35m | 4s | Medallion Capital | Turner Fleischer

It finally happened - I heard and saw something happening on site today when I walked by. The sound of hammering and some sort of saw machinery was going...

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

The upper bridge crossing is open now! I think it used to be wood planks? Smoother now but it still looks a bit shoddy. Maybe temporary given the winter conditions?

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

Got a notice that my request was marked as closed but I walked by today and the path is completely flooded with about a foot of water, so I will file a new request (or reopen the old one?) Maybe it's just melted from the sides of the path but they should put in some bumper reinforcements on...

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Anyone have updates on what on earth is happening with this project?

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

Thank you! My 311 request said it would be completed "within 3 days" so I'll check again on Sunday when I am penguin waddling my way through and then escalate...

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

The work below the railpath section on Annette/Dupont is complete and the railing has been repainted, but the bridge segment on the path itself is still closed to pedestrians. It's sad that the railpath used to be the pride and joy of pedestrian life in the west end - it was one of the only...

    The Junction

I seem to have no luck with places that say they're open but are in fact closed. Third time attempting to try the gelato at More Gelato & Caffe - last weekend they were closed with the flu, reopening by Friday. Today I went back and they're closed till January... "The Coffee" in the base of...

    Toronto Grain Lofts | 48.19m | 11s | Gairloch | Gabriel Fain

Hehe well I walk by it every single day! But you could definitely take better photos of it :D

The auto body shop has finally been demolished and the lot is fenced off now! The pylons on the road are from a different project (railpath/davenport diamond work) so that entire stretch of Dupont is going to continue to be a mess for the foreseeable future.

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

A small update/upgrade: the south sidewalk of Dupont is back to being open, and freshly painted (for now). Hurray! I also noticed they repainted the half of the bridge that's complete, along with the lettering. Bridge segment still not open to peds though.

    The Junction

    It's a great question!

Cycling: West Toronto Railpath (City of Toronto, Phase II Proposed)

I know it's a temporary solution but the pedestrian walkway along Annette/Dupont under that bridge is a biohazard. The ammonia-like stench and number of dead pigeons under that bridge makes it very difficult to breathe, not to mention the blind corners and how dark and unsafe it feels at night...
