    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

I'm increasingly inclined to agree, though I'm not sure where that would leave us for actually getting these projects done. It's really a shame just how much of a failure Metrolinx has turned out to be. Incredibly disappointing. It seems like a decade in, they still don't entirely know what...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I'm quite curious to see how ridership compares with forecasted demand. Metrolinx loves their forecasting model, so now let's see a real world example of wether its actually any good. Somehow, I doubt it. The colorful tile is nice and I wishmore stations had it. The stations are all very white...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The underground section is great. Very speedy. Stations are nice though a bit barren and overly white. Think the underground section drives home what a bummer the surface sections are. The surface segments should have been an elevated metro line. I remember a long time ago there was a user...

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

This may be one of the most disapointing and disheartening things I have ever read. Pretty crushed about it. 20+ years for a "minimum viable product". It's so painfully mediocre, but I guess it's my fault for even getting my hopes up. Metrolinx is a failed organization. Gut it or kill it, but...

    Looks nicer than original proposal.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Personally am a fan of keeping it on Sheppard especially since the line 2 extension will provide a connection to Scarborough town centre anyways. I'd prefer the full east extension, replacing the need for the ECLRT East along that segment.

    Toronto The Diamond | 101.14m | 36s | Neudorfer | Gabriel Bodor

Absolutely awful. If I was the architect, I'd retire in shame.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Common sense prevails against stupidity. Hurray.

The train is already express. It's literally in the name.

As a regular rider of UP and a huge fan of the train both as a commuter and flyer, I'm extremely angry by this move. Actively makes the service worse for a ton of people for a negligible benefit.

I don't mind the type of cladding they're using (cause I don't have to live there).... ...but why that color? Looks awful.

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

Definitely disappointing but don't think it dampers my excitement too much.

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

I really would not call the Yonge line "underbuilt"

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

With this attitude, much of old toronto would be covered with expressways. Public consultation (and even just the planning in general) is practically pennies compared to the cost of construction. Cutting it would not save anything meaningful except time. Yes, we should value the experts...

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

Pretty confident whoever proposed a loop for the Ontario line secretly posts on UT. Personally I'll never understand the desire for a loop line in Toronto.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Well, REM re-uses a significant portion of track from the Duex-Montagnes commuter line. It they had to dig it all new it would have been more. Questionable math/examples aside, I agree with your point overall. We pay more and get less, and I'm not sure the government or MX has ever taken a...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Honorific line names are fine during planning and construction but should be named after the corridors they follow once construction is complete. They're doing this backwards.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I live right next to the Gardiner and GO line. The highway is basically imperceptible when inside, but it does make our balcony kind of pointless. The trains we hear, but it's honestly a non-issue, and frankly I like seeing them go by. Maybe a building built along the Barrie GO line doesn't...

This will be a fun post to come back to once the LRT is open.
