I think the possibility of glare on nearby buildings and passersby seems possible. Wear sunglasses when it's finished! :)

    Toronto The Addison Residences | 49.9m | 16s | Adi | Core Architects

I noticed that 'theaddisonresidences.com' website is not operating. ('Site is not available') Is the sales office still operating? Wonder if Adi is prepared to walk away from developing this?

Besides the muffins, I think that's a historic building too. I believe that was a priest's house close to 200 years ago. Is it heritage-protected? Needs some roofing work.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The stations are at least a mile apart. That's a long distance in subway terms. I wouldn't be opposed to running along Wilson, but I do think Woodbine mall and casino should be on a rapid transit line. My main thinking is that we need a subway to take some of the traffic off of the 401. Going...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I suggest it continue to the airport. I put this on my blog You could have Islington and Kipling instead of Rexdale, but the idea is an express subway line across Toronto to relieve the 401.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I was at the first concert. The stadium is all temporary construction. No foundation. Clearly no plans for a permanent installation. As an indication of where the money lies, the washroom area is all portable toilets, while they did build a building for merch. The concessions, etc. are all...

    Toronto Rogers Stadium at Downsview | ?m | ?s | Live Nation

I was at the opening concert. I sat in a floor seat, so I was not affected by the lighting problem. The walk back to Downsview Park station was controlled by TTC staff. It was a massive crowd funneled into a 20 metre wide path to go to the GO and TTC station. The path was not lit, which was a...

It's not ideal, but it's not bad. Will the Humber loop actually go? That's the connection to the Queensway bus.

What I recall about Giraffe was that it was too big of a project for the small site. Squishing a similar tower to the Crossways onto 1/3 the footprint. They bought a few properties next door and the footprint is much larger and voila the City has approved the new tower. If Giraffe was not...

Appears to be a pause here. The auto garage has re-opened.

I've taken the bus through there, and I use the medical office on site and I can confirm the high level of traffic along Keele. It is overwhelmingly single-occupant vehicles. Which begs the question - if it's bad, and it is, why are people continuing to clog it up? When I drive, I try to avoid...

    Toronto The Notable | 172.67m | 51s | Graywood | Turner Fleischer

Is the strategy here to ask for 50 and accept being bumped down to 40, like they already wanted? Seems way too small a site to support such a large building, in footprint, space for residents, and respect for neighbourhood. Has there ever been a similar site go from 7 stories to 50 stories...

The retail storefront looks very sterile. While the current landscape can be called ugly, at least it has character and is alive. I don't see that here.

    Toronto Marlee Condos | 84.9m | 24s | Spotlight Development | RAW Design

It IS bad for pedestrians. Maybe they shouldn't allow southbound Allen drivers go onto Marlee. The whole intersection is going to get a lot more busy as it gets redeveloped, so I hope there will be improvements for the increase in local residents. The city should consider a connection from...

    Toronto Lower Simcoe Ramp | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I heard recently that there are 50,000 Uber drivers in Toronto. How much of the congestion is from those drivers? I notice a lot of them around Scotiabank Arena on game and concert nights. I remember when the York off-ramp existed, That loop would always get full up. So the problem is not new...

    Toronto 2400 Dundas West | 142.8m | 42s | Fora | Rafael + Bigauskas

The green tower looks like it is covered in moss. There must be pressure to buy the block across the street now. It's not shaping up as an attractive neighbourhood. Not that that side is now. No doubt the parkette is a dog bathroom. Will pigeons be welcome?

    Toronto 522 Royal York | 124.25m | 37s | Queenscorp | Turner Fleischer

Well yeah. But even those 'trams' would be a big step up from today. And those trams would be a lot less expensive than the OL tech. OL extension would be better long-term no doubt, but you might have to really redevelop the area to get trips above the level of the Sheppard line and support the...

    Toronto 522 Royal York | 124.25m | 37s | Queenscorp | Turner Fleischer

If you go further north of the Queensway, you'll find lots of split-levels that are bigger and more expensive. So, I don't think those homeowners are going to favour intensification. But yeah, the Queensway strip is ripe for densification. At one time, those little post-war bungalows along the...

You'll never convince drivers with off-peak service like that. Chicken and egg thing I think. If developers who are friends with Doug whisper enough in his ear, an Ontario line extension could happen ... but even an LRT like Finch West might work here and be really beneficial.
