2 St. Clair Ave. West - new colour?

It looks like the black is the final colour, as that section was already primed that silver colour a few weeks back. It does make the buliding look much better.

I remember seeing them drop in one of the original trees, the hole was lined with a black felt like material, I thought it was odd since the whole point of the silva cell setup was to allow the roots to spread... I've never planted a tree before so I assumed they knew what they were doing, but...

    Unique Houses in Toronto

This house on a quiet dead end street has tiny windows, and is directly across from this view of the Don Valley... I cant imagine what the architect was thinking.

Cabbagetown Streetscape Revitalization Plan (Sun Arts Design)

What baffles me is why the city sometimes replaces older concrete poles with wooden poles... does a wooden pole maker have a cousin at city hall?

Thanks for the info. I currently live on Charles so I guess I'll just have to upgrade the shocks on my car.

Downtown streets in need of TLC

Charles Street east has to be one of the worst couple of blocks in the city.

Good to hear, that was my only real criticism of the park when I visited last week. Anyone know if they plan on sprucing up the lower section of the Don Valley bike path... it feels a little post apocalyptic right now.

Roads: Keep the Gardiner, fix it, or get rid of it? (2005-2014)

The distance between downtown Manhattan and central park is about the same as that of downtown Toronto and highpark... makes you realize how big and dense Manhattan is

I've walked through the basement and was surprised at how ghetto it feels, dozens of 100-200 square foot commercial condos. What kind of tenants do you suppose would rent there?

Does anyone know if they are watering the trees on a regular basis? It's been a dry summer yet every time I walk by, those watering bags at the base of the trees are empty, and many of the trees look like as if it's already fall with their leaves beginning to brown.

This morning they were cutting down the large tree that was in front of the building. I wonder if they even considered trying to save it?

That's just the rooftop mechanical for the building- always wondered why they made it so big- plus the wide angle of the shot makes it look further back than it actually is.

At least this building was interesting- which is more than can be said for 99% of the buildings in the city. I'll miss it... but I am looking forward to watching how they tear this thing down :)
