Those fans sitting down in the left field corner are going to have to watch out for those liners. Wonder if they plan on putting netting up.

    UrbanToronto is Celebrating 20 Years

I sure do! Maritime Life was one of the only commercial projects that wasn't a traditional box. Then along came Spire which wowed us with height. The city I see now is so different from what it was then.

    UrbanToronto is Celebrating 20 Years

Wow. I totally forgot about that. I should see if I can dig it up somewhere. Wow 20 years has gone by quickly. I remember how excited we all were at the prospect of a 30+ story building and desperately hoping for some commercial development. We're spoiled for choice these days. Happy birthday...

Whenever we do end up building a stadium, I'd personally love if they went with either of these directions; More traditional but with a Canadian twist. Take some inspiration from prominent Canadian architecture like the chateau style CP hotels Something of a mix of traditional structure but...

For the exterior, it wouldn't take much to add some accent lights to match.

Why not just light all the steel up? It could look beautiful if done right.

It wouldn't take much to really give the dome a modern update. Some ideas; Change concrete fascia around all levels to glass similar to the ticketmaster section on 300. Making those tinted glass or glazed will really make the place feel a bit less heavy. Like others have posted, use new LED...

Those pods would make a great spot for the spa.

They're probably just waiting until everything is developed so they can sell them to developers or sign on a hotel partner.

BP South (The Baby Point Inc, 3s, ?)

I wonder if some of the dump trucks are dumping from the Dundas and Beresford dig. That site was in a similar state where the builder was supposed to maintain a clean, filled site when it just became a dumping ground for garbage and dangerous fencing. Now that they have dug, they built the...

    Emergency Alert System

I take it none of you have children. I have no issues with it. How are we to know someone hasn't jumped on a plane and made their way from Thunder Bay to Toronto? Even if it saves the life of 1 child, it's worth it. Quit your complaining and put your phone on mute.

Toronto Restaurants of the 80s and 90s

Belamy's was awesome. My sister worked at the St Catherines location and I remember they had really great chicken wings. They were the big breaded saucy type.

I always thought there was an opportunity to create a showcase for green technology. How about a botanical garden or butterfly sanctuary. Imagine something like Singapore gardens by the bay.

Toronto Municipal Election 2018: Mayor’s Race

I think it's an easy target to go after a sport that is often skewed as "elite" or "white" or "old". While I don't use the city golf courses for a number of reasons, I think it's important to give people a lower cost option for them to learn the game. I've golfed ever since I was a young kid...

One patch of trees I noticed recently doing really well is the section right next to Maple Leaf Square along York St. I think what's helping is that they are protected by a stone border which might keep some of the salt and snow from entering the beds.

    Toronto Love Park | 3m | 1s | City of Toronto | CCxA

I feel like a bad client who's asking to combine elements from all 5 of them. I love the large water feature in the Love Park concept, especially if it can be used as a rink in the winter. Hopefully the plan would be to let people use it as a wading pool or water element for kids. Put in some...

Also, they just spent a bunch of time upgrading the garage with new lighting, and car charging stations so I'm not sure it's going anywhere that soon.

I used this garage everyday and can attest, it's pretty full. At least it's full for the first 6-7 levels. Level 8 is the roof.
