    Toronto Bloor–Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The transit geek in me is really hoping we don't get a dividing wall. It's one thing I really enjoy about the montreal metro.

    Toronto 30 Huntley Street | 198.1m | 60s | Osmington Gerofsky | Diamond Schmitt

Looks like they were doing soil samples last week. All the driveways have been blocked off, people who were paying to park on the properties have been booted. Seems as though something is going to be happening here. internal rumblings have Brampton office closing and relocating to 1 Mount Pleasant.

    Toronto East Harbour GO & Ontario Line Station | 14.35m | 1s | Metrolinx | HDR

One thing I keep wondering and haven't really seen it addressed is how they plan to go over/under the bala sub that turns north on the immediate west side of the valley. Is there enough space to come off the new bridge and dive deep to get under the tracks? but then in the first photo above...

Had this conversation with my wife numerous times.... turns out there is something (what who knows) in the works: https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/planning-development/construction-new-facilities/park-facility-projects/riverdale-park-east-top-of-bank-improvements/ I've been coming here...

How visible are the boundaries between the former Metro municipalities today?

A perfect example of the border between Toronto and East York.... the acorn lights, housing stock, heck you can even see the line in the asphalt, lol

    East Don Trail Project

wondering if this trail is passable on a bike yet? can you get through where the tunnel is supposed to be built? anything keeping people out from being able to traverse it's route other than the gap for the the tunnel? I'm assuming you can just dismount and walk over the tracks there to continue?

many memories from that plaza. Towers on the lower level with Dominion above, then years of a great Knob Hill farms to the last tenant, No frills. The strange shopping experience that was Consumers Distributing. and who could forget seeing Cadet Leslie Barbara being tipped over in the fastfoto...

HA! well make that 3 posts in the last 2 years! I've never left, well my account was tied to an old email address and couldn't be bother starting over with a new log in name. Had a by chance encounter with Jason Paris who was able to change the account it was tied to. I'll try and be a better...

    Toronto 786-788 Queen East | 20.66m | 6s | Papadakis | DREAMVIEW

Fun Fact (long time lurker, haven't posted in over a decade) I lived in the ground floor apartment behind the launrdy mat in 1999-2001, then moved to the corner lofts at 798 Queen St 2001-2006, shown above as well. The owner of this parcel (my old land lord, affectionally known as Papa) has been...

Alexander The Great Parkette Revitalization (Greektown BIA, FFLA)

having grown up just around the corner, I love what they did with this square, what I don't understand is why they brought back that terrible statue of Alexander the Great... it's like a kids doodle and there is nothing great about that version of Alexander.

Toronto, raccoon capital of the world

The only thing that seems to keep them away is, believe it or not, yes they do sell it, Wolf urine. I had a raccoon highway through my yard, they took over at night fall. They even chewed the damn lid off my green bin. My yard was destroyed as they hunted for grubs. There is a hydroponic store...

I wonder how long it will be before office towers jump NpS and build tall to the north of it, I would imagine that being on the subway lines is a huge point for developing office space, could we see a new cluster in the next boom spring up.

National Post Locating to Greenwin Square

you guys are making me dream again. I've worked at the CTV building in agincourt for about 7 years now, when CTV first bought CHum, yes there was a plan to move us there. Since Bell bought CTV, the word around is "don't count on it" considering I live a 20 min bike ride from 299 queen, I wish it...

Should the Toronto Islands be kept as-is?

The hedge maze is gone. Was there last year, this year just the rock that marked its entrance. The maze was a gift to the children of Canada from the Dutch. I'm very curious as to why it's gone, I know it had seen Better days, but surely nothing a little work couldn't have fixed. My kids were...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

why do they make it so the windows can't be opened? I understand that in the hieght of summer, they want the windows shut for air-conditioning purposes, but can't the driver have a locking mechanism? No better feeling than having the window open on a warm summer night or those first truly warm...

    Toronto Globe and Mail Headquarters: Never-Built | ?m | 18s | The Globe and Mail | KPMB

First I love the row, I believe it breaks up the street and actually brings it back to a human level. That said, the is a small part of me that wishes I could go back and ride the spadina 77 one more time. It was like being in a jeep on a safari or something, bouncing all over the place. The...
