    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It looks like it is a false memory as this 1973 aerial pic seems to indicate: https://www.toronto.ca/ext/archives/s0012/fl1973/s0012_fl1973_it0049.jpg

It was never Bloor. It was just supposed to be an extension of Bloor before the ring road plan.

Some GTA Aerials by Tim MacDonald (Covid19 induced Boredom)

No seriously. It doesn't exist. And why don't wouldn't you have this for other amalgamated cities where the former municipalities originated as actual towns which are much more visible (e.g: Woodbridge, Stoney Creek), and whose sense of independence is taken a lot more seriously even by non-locals?

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I find it odd that it's still officially Mohawk but signed (logically) as Rousseaux. The Ancaster section of Mohawk should be renamed Rousseaux , considering it becomes that to the west anyways, and since the Hamilton Mountain section is now severed.

    Canadian Highway Fantasy Thread

Ontario doesn't even have an excuse not to have the mainline as Hwy. 1 as it never had a Hwy. 1 anyway. The 417 could be renumbered to 1 as an anomaly in the 400-series network.

Used to have one double decker in the 90's too.

Roads: Ambassador & Gordie Howe Bridges

By and large they don't, but for those that do (with the exception of the Heritage/Meadowvale part), Heritage, Meadowvale, Central Parkway (East and West don't really count), and Kennedy, only one of these name changes occur at a municipal boundary. And the last is a directional change issue...

And it's not just Oakville. There's Ajax, Aurora, Milton, Newmarket, and Whitby. It seems some GTA municipalities hate the idea that they've grown so much at a fundamental level.

The roads in Peel keep the same names across boundaries. Not sure of your point here.

They could at least de-number them and let the urban municipalities put up their own signage.

"Wayne County Wire" Can you imagine an Ontario county or even an urbanized regional municipality having a such a strong collective identity? Or a big Canadian city like Toronto being within a county?

That's what I meant. And "master planning" likely won't help.

"Inner city" refers to a much larger area than "downtown". Mississauga lacks and always will lack the first as the area surrounding MCC is too suburban-modern to get a Victorian homes nabe vibe.
