I usually have a train arriving within 5 minutes of reaching the platform. And quite often a train pulls in just as I arrive.

In no way is the 34 better than Line 5. Maybe in scarborough, but in the centre of the city the bus will get held up at every major intersection especially avenue and approaching Allen either way. I've taken this bus route for 10 years and Line 5 is leagues better.

I take this line almost every day and have never had issues with extensive waits for a train. Often the train arrives just as I hit the platform. At worst I've waited about 7 minutes.

I realize I'm a day late to the party but wanted to share some of my thoughts from opening day: - The underground portion is real quick. For my use case, I live at Chaplin and generally just need to get to Cedarvale or Eglinton stations, perhaps a bit further now that it is easy to do so. I can...

I've started walking from Chaplin to Yonge recently when the weather has been nice because I can keep pace with the bus very easily.

Don't forget the 20 minutes to wait for the 32 to move through all the Allan traffic and turn into the station.

This was a great read, and seeing how quick the train moves in the tunnel was a relief. I'll also say I think the stations look really fantastic. Giving my selfish use case here. I live at Chaplin, and most of the time all I need is to get to Cedarvale or Eglinton Station. On Line 5, that is...

Hey the train is running after the biggest snowstorm on record. So lets take good news when we see it.

He's just making shit up. This forum is full of "experts" talking about every single rumor under the sun. Remember when everyone was going on and on about stations sinking or had cracked foundations and therefore "it will never open because no one knows how to fix it".

Same goes for approaching Avenue and Allan westbound on the 32. It can take 10 minutes to go 2 blocks, all because of cars trying to get to the 401.
