I can't imagine a meter would make that much of a difference to whatever area they're were concerned about.

I didn't really like this one based on the renderings, but so far I actually like it the way it's turning out.

My post a while back from the One Bloor West thead: https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/toronto-one-bloor-west-308-6m-85s-tridel-foster-partners.18167/page-1335#post-2252840

I know the building isn't anything spectacular, but I'm glad they're incorporating that old brick building. We need to retain as much as that stuff as possible.

I realize at his age, things can take a turn super fast but the last interview I saw he was looking pretty good for his age.

    Toronto Q Tower | 197.4m | 59s | Lifetime | Wallman

I highly doubt they would demolish a parking lot and then 3 weeks later realize they're not close to putting shovels in the ground and turn back into a much less profitable parking lot. Makes no sense.

Said it once and will say it again. While Skytower will win the height battle, this building wins the war IMO. It's such an aesthetically pleasing building and having such a tall building at north end of DT gives our skyline that much more credibility at giving Chicago a run for the #2 spot in...

I try not to post comments that are that aren't that pertinent in order to help keep the threads compact, but I just wanted to take a moment say your pics are amazing bro. This thread and CIBC. Thanks for posting them and keep up the good work. 👍

This is one of the nicest pics I've ever seen on here, and I've seen ALOT. I love how calm the water looks, with the ferry in it. For some reason, even the buildings I find ugly look fine in this pic.

If you were to go back through the pages of this thread, I defended it quite often and even stronger. I actually said in many posts I think it's one of the better developments I've seen in a while.👍 The only thing I don't like about it is the name.

I agree. Just posted something similar. Again, not that current building is a marvel to look at, but the less glass the better. Any of that old school stone helps offset all the glass.

I know it's not the nicest looking building, but I think sentiment here is with soooo much glass in newer type buildings, anything we can do to keep some old school stone isn't a bad idea.

I have to say, I'm blown away by this. For some reason I thought I remembered that drying wall being there since like 2010 or longer. 9 years is still pretty sad though. That dry wall has been there 1/5th of my life.

Drove DT today for the first time in about 6 months so it had been a while since I see thing in person. This thing is absolutely stunning in person. Having that said, it's a shame to see all the stores closed down on the block south of that.

Something like this I think is a good idea. The thing I don't understand, is even if the space is vacant, I would rather see the dry wall gone and just have whatever is behind there opened up. I mean unless there was construction going on, why have we had dry wall there for 15/20 years??

Not joking when I say this, I bet it's been there no less then 20 years at this point. It's literally unbelievable. My two biggest pet peeves about the station is the drywall and the fact the so many of the lights have been out on the info boards for god knows how long. Truly embarrassing. I've...
