The hoarding (and the Travellers' Aide information desk) will probably need to go when they fix the floor! Here is more info from the Report Background Union Station opened to the public in 1927. As a National Historic Site, it is one of the finest examples of Beaux-Art architecture in...

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

This was promised a few months ago and it's great to see that it is FINALLY going to happen. The Great Hall Lighting is supposed to be done in early 2026 as is the Art Work. Maybe, just MAYBE, the restoration of Union Station is finally going to be completed!!

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Capital Sewer. https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2025/gg/bgrd/backgroundfile-260581.pdf Clearly the City Auditors are on top of, at least, some things! A 5-year ban is quite severe (as it should be) and it will be interesting to see if they can find enough othher clients to survive.

    Eastern Avenue Bridge/DVP Interchange

The problem would seem to be that the new wider MUT is on south side of the Eastern Avenue Bridge and after the ramp leading to Lower River Street the road narrows. As I reported, there is a slope to the west of the ramp to Lower River(at the wall that is still there) that MIGHT mean a bike...

    Parks - new & revitalized

Parks 'stuff' tends to get scattered and I think this is 'new' but .. IE26.15 - Weston Loop Master Plan SEE: https://secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda-item.do?item=2025.IE26.15 Origin (November 20, 2025) Letter from Councillor Frances Nunziata Recommendations Councillor Frances Nunziata...

    Eastern Avenue Bridge/DVP Interchange

I was there yesterday and the western end of the new concrete MUP slopes down to the road surface. It looks as though it is finished so my theory is that the cycle track will continue west to Old Foundry Road (and Cherry) though my partner, who is often correct, doubted it was possible. (Power...

    Hudson's Bay Company

City website says it’s reopening by end of 2026 - though I seem to remember an earlier 2024 or 2025 date!

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

The VIA Concourse like the Great Hall and the "Front Street Promenade" were, I think, all 'heritage' and thus the renovations were constrained not only by space and $$ but by heritage. (Let's not relitigate that issue, please!) They certainly restored all the old terrazzo tiling and the tiles.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Though we all refer to the VIA Concourse, is it actually under the ownership (or leased to) VIA?? Is it, maybe, a CITY responsibity as the landlord???

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

And not that far to the east (@ Leslie on Lake Shore) there is another Farm Boy with very obvious surface parking.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Obviously, it would be better to 'spread the crowds" around but how exactly would you have done this,??

    Toronto Bike Share

Expansion of the number of stations is great BUT they REALLY need to sort out the problem with docks either full or empty. A few years ago one could maybe not find a convenient station but when you did you could get a bike there or return a bike there.

    Toronto Parliament Slip | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto | West 8

There is a Bike share thread where these topics are probably more appropriate - though somewhat repetitive.

It has been there for at least two years but I agree it will need to move before long as work on the QQE extension proceeds in that area. The Bike Share docks are actually fairly easy to move and they get shifted around all the time to accommodate road repairs, utility work etc.
