President Donald Trump's United States of America

Interestingly, Navy Island in the Niagara River was once floated as a potential site for the UN General Assembly. Though Canadian territory, the plan was to designate it as “UN land.” Such a move likely would have boosted both Toronto and Buffalo, particularly their airports. I’ve always thought...

    Simons

If Simons were to open any more GTHA stores in the interim, my guesses would be STC or Mapleview (Burlington). Pacific Centre indeed seems the most logical nationally. Also, I think there's a bit of the old Nordrom's store at the Eaton Centre not being used by Nike, Simons or Eataly. I saw it...

    Simons

A bit odd as it is the largest of the three.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I was living in Leslieville when they did, so somtime around 2012 would be my guess. 13 years! Although, this is to move sewers too (as per King/Church earlier this year).

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It's also funny how some parts of Line 1 and Line 2 will be bilingual, whereas other parts of the same linew won't be. A real mess, to be honest.

Liberty Village is a different station. The one at The Well could still happen, likely in conjunction with whatever decking proposal eventually comes to fruition.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

It appears I was wrong! McDonald's will be keeping Queen/Spadina open when Dundas/Spadina opens. However, the new one will be designed more for bike couriers in mind.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

McDonald's is not like Subway, or even Starbucks. They are quite aggressive in not saturating the market. I would assume the one on the corner is closing when the new one opens.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

The shed can be taken apart and assembled somewhere else (e.g., Exhibition Place, Portlands, Parc Downsview Park, etc.), perhaps as a new market building. There.... everyone's happy. The washrooms are suddenly a piss pond everytime I use them. The cleaning has definitely gone downhilll.

No, not at all. I just thought it would make him follow the rules, but instead he got angrier and told me to to f-off.

I'd love to keep my money in Toronto, but everytime I give taxis another chance, I go through this bullshit too. I told one once that I worked for licensing at the city when he refused my ride at Exhibition Place. He told me to "f*ck off, I dare you!"

    Toronto Ontario Line: Corktown Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

No, but he has been doing media rounds claiming that the Ontario Line west of Osgoode is useless, destructive, and should be cancelled.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

This makes a lot of sense. I wish similar developments—like Cloverdale—were required to follow suit. Realistically, the natural western terminus for Line 4 is probably the provincial government complex at Keele and Wilson, and this would help move it in that direction. That said, we might just...

    Toronto Rogers Stadium at Downsview | ?m | ?s | Live Nation

Couldn’t they have just built the stadium further north along the runway? That might have helped ease some of the transit concerns. Then again, it seems the goal was to funnel people through the Fan Plaza to encourage spending, capitalist instincts taking precedence over thoughtful planning.

But about half the platforms were designed for baggage, goods, postal services, etc. I think the wider ones were for passengers.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

I thought I read that Sky moved to Mexico, where one can still enjoy something he called "real freedom!"

Big news! My tunnel boring machine name submissions — Libby and Corkie — made the shortlist for the Ontario Line naming contest! 🎉 Voting is now open, and I’d love your support to help them win: 👉 https://www.metrolinx.com/en/projects-and-programs/ontario-line/name-our-tbms Some of you may...

    TTC: Streetcar Network

I'd like to see the 503 better cover the girth of downtown with tracks continuing on Wellington to Spadina. That stretch along Wellington (to York) moves at a good clip and is faster than comparable services on King or Queen. Of course, it is currently down for the summer, but in general, I mean.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

He also made his ongoing assertion that the Ontario Line makes no sense west of Queen. It's almost like he was the Mayor from a bygone era of Toronto... oh wait!
