To be fair, many of these old buildings don't get the attention they need. They're technically fine until something more substantial occurs. The foundation shouldn't be cracking from the work being done next door, if that's the case the church has been putting off necessary repairs. My house is...

Any new light industrial employment is good news for Hamiltons tax and economic base!

Agreed. I'd like to see a tree here. I may request Yoke to install one, I'll get them a free one from the city.

Fully complete and the ground floor retail unit opened up this week. Makes me hopeful that Yoke does more of this and handles some of the properties Forge & Foster owned better than they did:

I went by to take a look before cleanup because I wanted to see it with my own eyes a half collapsed multi-storey building

    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I'm personally of the opinion that one of the old alignments would have been best where it continued along King St across the 403 toward the Food Basics plaza by Westdale, there could be a station there with high density TOC and it could turn toward Main St W down Paradise Road, or Longwood.

Do you mean in an attempt to reduce the turning radii at the two Dundurn turns? I wonder if buying the Dundurn plaza, trenching across it, then selling airspace above and land around the station could provide a net benefit to the project. One thing I'd like to see is North American transit...

I suppose one thing to get excited about while we wait years for this to theoretically start, is that the fact that it's moving forward and with interest rates coming down, we can likely expect an explosion in development applications within 500m-750m of the corridor. I know Brad Lamb was...

100%. I dropped my partner off at work today, as I have the day off and saw it and had to get out of my car and go for a walk. It's on floor 8 slab forming on the side closest to McMaster, and looks like 3/4 on the side furthest, with it oddly being lower in the middle. The rebar thickness was...

    Hamilton 129-131 Wellington Street North | 15.19m | 4s | WQP | RAW Design

It's not the worst thing Hamilton has seen, it's just the execution is so odd. In the end, hoping this is a learning opportunity for a developer of small missing Middle housing on how to do better next time. Ultimately this provides housing stock for the type of people that don't want to live in...

    Hamilton St Matthew's House | 19.35m | 6s | St. Matthew's House | CMV

This is a better example of how prefab can be used to build cheaper housing quickly. Other examples have failed to provide the speed that was the entire point of prefab construction.

If you're talking about the landscaped area, that's city owned land from when the road didn't curve before to meet up with York. SuperCrawl will just set up the local artist area somewhere else, not really an issue.

Today, on floor 16 wall forms, officially on the thinnest tower portion, so it's taken a while to retool for the new floor plate, but should speed along to near the top:
