    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Exactly thank you. The concept for a Yonge extension is over ten years old and over that time TJ has constantly screamed that the plan won't change. Yet it's seen many changes. And as for your post on the previous page about bridging the Don, yea it's good. Geotech for it was done, nothing...

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

Am I reading this right. Three back to back hit and run fatalities over as many days? What the hell's happening.

but TJ used his "math skills". It actually saves money

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Coming off a bit a apologist on this one bro, more so than usual. The same def can be said about YNSE. Bowing to 20 homeowners to the tune of $xxx million over minute db level changes should be underscored better by YR subway pumpers. It's all very relatable to other projects, be it OL or future...

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Just going on memory RL rejig from Pape to Carlaw was like $150-300M and 8mths. There is a cost to revisions, whether substantive or not is debatable. And again precedence of admitting to kowtowing to a handful of homeowners over 'peace and quiet'. Station placement does appear changed in the...

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I dunno man. Do we know to what extent this alignment shift and nimby appeasement added to the depth, or if new costs are 'almost nothing'? Sixteen storeys underground is pretty darn substantial. If there were genuine concerns that called for this, sure explore it, present it, discuss it. But to...

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I worry it's not deep enough. If the slightest clickety-clack muffles its way up to surface, game over man. Hopefully next update we get a solid 75m.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Oh man 50m deep, in the outer suburbs. I knew it was going to be deep, but dang. Metrolinx is going full bore vote shilling now.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Was Canada Line actually designed to be expanded at the outset? I feel like it was a London DLR type situation where things could be expanded (mostly), post hoc with cost and time. But otherwise not really planned to be. I maintain OL should to be expanded for 140m even if built for 80-100m...

    VIA Rail

Thanks for the clarification guys. Guess I jumped the gun thinking they're to showcase the new train at Union. Whoops.

    VIA Rail

I dunno. No other trains on that line in like a decade other than GO. And it looked like the new VIA train. Hopefully I'm not way off base, but I think it was it.

Saw the new VIA train going down the RH line. It was through the trees, and def wasn't a go train. Neato

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Just a casual observation, but the construction activity for the central section seems to have grown immensely. I see way more workers and equipment now than in the past.

    Toronto Basin Media Hub | 21m | 5s | Hackman Capital Partners | SOM

Very cool, and perfect fit for the Port Lands. Gotta keep it port-ey.

Oh boy crazy that the main span is already in place. Haven't been following too closely. Cheers @ProjectEnd

They should put planters all along the silos and make it into one giant living/green wall. Imagine a breeze blowing through a 100ft vertical canopy with the cylindrical undulations. Would be a trip. Literally, people would take a trip to see it since it'd be so cool.

Maps of Toronto's old rail lines?

Interesting. Where in the beaches and got a pic of the plaque?

Waterfront Transit Reset Phase 1 Study

I'm torn. I love seeing the greenway buffer filled with grasses and wildflowers. That's how roads should be. But do wince at the thought of it aiding wayward amblers into stepping onto the streetcar tracks. The renders show the streetcar nicely hidden amongst the trees and grass like a lion in...

Lesser recognized buildings in Toronto that you enjoy

10 and 20 Avoca. Emporis says 1971. Unbelievably crisp. Hard modernist lines, square floorplate, large overhang balconies, and a reddish metallic trapezoidal hat to hide rooftop messiness (and complete the perfection).
