Closings got delayed again. July 2018.

Did some digging.. looks like they applied to have the exterior cladding changed (*from original plans of brick/stone to stucco*)

...The stucco is a finish coat on townhouses facing East Haven, as per my previous post. There are patches of the building that look rough like this, but certainly nothing going on top of this surface. It is stucco. Not sure what you were expecting.

This is such awesome news!! Have you been by the building lately? They've drywalled the townhouses and lobby. Also saw tile boxes outside. They've also installed a glass canopy above the building doors on East Haven. Looks like a spring closing might not be too unrealistic...

Of course, it is a tentative occupancy date. I can't see it taking much longer than June though. They are drywalling the townhomes now. It's not very rough (not sure where you are looking)... at least not on the bottom 2-3 floors of the building. That will be the final stucco surface. I've...

Has anyone driven by the building lately to see their progress? I got an email today pushing my closing date out until June 2018- wondering if that date is even realistic.

Lmao, thats such a good way to look at it @maestro . It definitely is a finish coat- and it's horrible. The renderings show canopies, wood doors, glass railings, brick, and mouldings. None of which will actually be delivered. Just seems weird that they would go through all of that hassle to...

Went by this afternoon. Almost 100% sure that this is the finished colour (left windows)- backside of the building.

@OneCity ... I see what you mean now! Yes- totally looks like some sort of drip edge or separation between the stucco and another surface. @interchange42 Agreed. I think it is too late in the season for brick unless they are tarping it off. Unless they are doing that "peel and stick" type stone...

Has anyone driven by lately or heard any news about occupancy? I got an email from VHL asking for my lawyer's contact info for closing.

I'm assuming this was copied from a previous UT article back in August? Doesn't seem to be the case that they are installing stone, as there is stucco board up to the 6th floor.

I haven't laughed that hard in awhile...so true!! We are hoping for the best too. When they released the updated drawings it looked as though VHL was trying to depart from its typically underwhelming elevations. Looking at the building now, it seems as though they are just rushing to close it up...

I think it will accelerate the development in the area in general. If you go onto the City of Toronto Application Planning site, there are already 4 more similar projects planned along Kingston road. The North side isn't that bad- it is not prestige retail but at the same time the amenities...
