Did they leave huge holes in areas so the excavation dirt would have some place to go? Because the massive hole next to King is just next to the first development site, which will be level to King.

Just noticed all the "RETAIL LEASE" signs go up in front of the Corktown District sites on King. It will be interesting to see who moves in.

I hope someone decides to revive the Kingsbrae. It would be a shame to see that place totally vanish. From an investors standpoint, that location would be a goldmine in a few years. I had never even been there when it was open (didn't live around here) but just love the vibe of the place.

Tartu College Addition (3s, Tampold Architects)

very nice design. Very "Toronto Style". I think the building is to act as some sort of Estonian Heritage Museum.

I was recently curious about the same thing. The abandoned houses are owned by the Little Trinity Church. Apparently they've run out of funds since they restored the church, but had plans to fix 'em up. We'll see what happens.

signage still boasting 50% sold months later, but the sales center is still open. I wonder what the current status is on this building. Does anyone know if anything is proposed for the small parcel of land across the street (next to the Staples?)

    West Don Lands

in the 80's downtown Subway plan, West Donlands was still called "Atitritari" and that would have been the station name. I think they're considering at a stop for Cherry Street now. Which would seem most effective at Cherry and Front, as that is central to West Don Lands, Distillery and...

Edge Lofts (625 Queen East, Streetcar, 6s, Quadrangle) COMPLETE

it looks as though a tenant has taken the ground floor. Still not sure what it will be though, but stacks of drywall are ready to go up. Previous Lease signage suggested zoning for a restaurant at the base, with patio. I have a feeling that Streetcar wants to remain "cool" and "trendy" (ie...

what's the timeline looking like for the Parliment and Dundas corner? I don't imagine the completion date of Spring 2009 still sticks?

Does anyone know if there's any truth to the rumour that a fenced in, off leash dog park is being created within the parkette between the two off ramps at Trinity and Richmond?

    Photo Of The Day

Considering none of them are heritage homes yet, it's amazing that none of the exteriors have been extremely modified. All the houses on the left were built circa 1870's except for the workerman's cottage in the middle which is about 10 years older then the rest.

I've checked out the Waterfront Toronto PDF's before. I was just curious if there were any more design plans for phase one. I guess that website is the closest we're getting for now.

He's gotta be the "tough cop" moderator these days. Otherwise all hell would be breaking loose on this architecture forum, don't ya know.
