Re Eglinton, It seems like its underground to Kennedy and then from kennedy to STC above ground. Since its using the same LRT tech, i hope this means you can get from STC to Yonge-Eg on a single car without any transfers in between Re Sheppard, does anyone else think the 2019 date seems...

This is an extremely off topic question, but one thing i was thinking of was why was Sheppard chosen for the new subway back when it was proposed and built? Had any consideration been given at the time to a Steeles subway for cost sharing purposes? Where as Sheppard could only get funding...

Caplan's ideas itself seem reasonable, no? Maybe its because of a dearth of explaining how to pay for an expanded subway network, but at least its something, and to me it sounds logical.
