Now that this area is starting to clean up, is there any chance the Armoury might ever move? It creates such a dead zone with its iron fences and inaccessibility. Plus it's a huge lot, think of what could fit in there

Honestly I'd even be fine with plastering that monolithic wall with giant tv screens and advertising to cover up the bland a la 10 Dundas. Anything but that wall... I do have to agree that the office tower is looking sharp! Hopefully the condos follow suit.

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

I'd expect it to be topping out in late summer/early fall

The brick is great. That little bit of ornamentation goes such a long way to make the pedestrian experience more inviting.

    Toronto 365 Church Condos | 102.1m | 31s | Menkes | Wallman Architects

That little 15-foot wide shop is going to look hilarious next to this condo!

Museum of Toronto! Can't think of a better spot. The best way to get people engaged and interested in our city's past is to give them a chance to learn about it!

    Toronto Ace Hotel Toronto | 44.8m | 13s | Carbon Hospitality | Shim-Sutcliffe

Anyone know how far down Camden this project will go? Is it just the building on the corner of Camden and Brant?

I love how this turned out. THIS is what respect for heritage looks like, not slapping a few bricks from what was there before onto the lobby of your new skyscraper.

Thanks for the photos Keyz. You're single-handedly keeping us all updated on all the projects in HBS. I'm relying on you now. You have a great burden to bear. :p

Not to mention the food terminal, as there are now rumblings of that being sold in the near-mid future as well, from what I've heard.

Is that iron latticework frame-thingy going to be covered eventually? I actually find it really cool exposed like that

    Toronto The Kip District | 120.44m | 40s | Concert | BDP Quadrangle

Looking at that site plan and then remembering that what took up that whole lot before was a shitty Canadian Tire and a parking lot blows my mind. We were/are the masters of wasting space here in North America

By the way, I love your watermarks kotsy

    Toronto Ten York Street Condos | 224.02m | 65s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

That last pic really drives home how crazy this development wave has been in Toronto. That tiny lot squashed between a freeway and a parking garage would be a damn hard sell in most cities in north America!

5300 Dundas Street West (IC Savings, 5s, ?)

You can see this from Kipling Station now. Hopefully it doesn't turn out super ugly, I need something to stare at while I'm waiting for the bus until I can watch Kip go up :P

    Toronto 316 Bloor West | 121.14m | 37s | State Building Group | Kirkor

To me this seems like the classic haggling/sales tactic where you start out unreasonably high, making lower values that are way above what would normally be accepted seem more reasonable by comparison.

kris, that was the very first thought that went through my head when I saw that name hahaha. Delicious muchentuchen!

    Toronto 1061 The Queensway | 12m | 1s | Sobeys | METHOD Architects

A connection to Sherway alone would make a Queen streetcar extension/new route from Humber Loop viable in my opinion and would compliment a future West Mall/ Sherway subway extension if they were to link up there. In the meantime, improving the bus headway would probably encourage more people to...

    Toronto 1061 The Queensway | 12m | 1s | Sobeys | METHOD Architects

With the next 2 IQ phases going in and now this along with smaller infill projects like Hive, someone really needs to start talking up a Queensway streetcar. The Queensway bus is terrible.

    Toronto River City Condos Phases 1 & 2 | ?m | 16s | Urban Capital | ZAS Architects

These really grew on me. They look like something that would get built in revitalizing areas of Stockholm or Rotterdam
