This is why I was saying.. I think there's a chance they just complete and get their money asap, monetize the project and get everyone paid. And on another front, the lenders could be suing Vandyk for misappropriated funds and attacking: estate, other businesses, assets, personal properties...

I think they won’t even ask for extension. They’ll just deliver late, and bank on that people won’t cancel seeing that there is significant progress. And if any interest claim on late delivery, just take the L if required.

This is why I’m saying given the economy and sensitive situation with the uptown’s buyers … there is a chance they just build as fast as possible and close this up, and move on. Economy is really crappy, new condo / precon are not selling. Only thing selling is receivership contracts...

Uptowns not cancelled. It’s ongoing under receivership. Waiting results, speculating conclusion within 2-6 weeks.

Yeah I haven’t seen much as well. Pre con is not making much sense anymore, they are asking WAAAY over current prices and people are not biting.

This example is receiver selling to a builder right? Not receiver taking over the project and managing the build? And anybody know what 2 bed 2 wash stacked town is selling for currently in the market in Brampton? Existing and pre-con?

Who’s buying that? Builders are having real hard time, and people are unloading trying to assign. Market is terrible. Existing 1 bed in Mississauga selling for 400s. I know people trying to assign sale and having hard time.

Did lawyer who is holding your deposit confirm they have it still? Uptowns I believe they’ve confirmed they still have it, and has not been distributed to VANDYK.
