Going by the SSE debacle when we were just about to go head first on a one stop subway proposal, it is actually the tunnel and auxiliary infrastructure (an extra emergency exit, ventilation shaft and additional expropriation) that shoulders the majority of the costs and not the stations themselves.

I find it funny that the very proponents of the SSE railed against the 3-4 storey transfer are in favour of the OL-ECLRT transfer that will be at that very minimum. Even if shovels do hit the ground on this, I wouldn’t be surprised if they fail to construct an indoor transfer between the lines...

I hope that isn’t the finalized version of the pole. I can easily see confusion come up as to whether the LRT is a different service (at an extra cost). The locals would eventually get it, but not so much the tourists or new residents from out of town.
