TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

So end of next year, Spadina becomes the first line fully new streetcars right? :P Still tons of old ones on it.

    Toronto 1 Eglinton East | 211.25m | 65s | Davpart | Hariri Pontarini

The other big advantage of the Union station area though is GO transit. Tons of people take GO downtown to work. If we're talking about Yonge-Eg or other areas, it has the subway which is good, but for those in the 905 it's harder to get to by transit right? However Eglinton LRT should improve...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

So a very common type of trip would be, you get on a bus at Eglinton, tap the card, then the bus goes to Eglinton station bus bay. You get off, take the subway to another station, say King. You then transfer to the King streetcar and tap a 2nd time. Hopefully you only get charged once for the...

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Personally I think it looks cool with the trains going by on the elevated structure.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Imagine how much relief would be provided if phase 1 of the DRL went one extra stop west to Spadina? Two extra to Bathurst? I don't have much hope for this however.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

So basically no increase in the rate of production over the whole year

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It looks pretty good, although a bit sad to see that less of the Mt Pleasant historic building will be preserved than previous renderings indicated. But hey, can't complain about a new subway for Toronto.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

So as expected most of the following years will be station construction. Should be exciting to see the stations being built from street level. Seems like many of the stores at future station locations are now closed (ex. Laird).

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

If they did this, how much would they need to increase service to meet demand? Would they need to buy more trains or longer trains? (besides all of the political issues)

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

    A. It's not unique to have large amounts streetcars in mixed traffic, there are many examples around the world B. I don't agree with "virtually its entirety", Spadina is one of the most well used lines. If we're talking length, St Clair is long and there's Queensway ROW and Queens Quay

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Would a ferry from Niagara region to Toronto work in the summer months? Maybe a bus could take people to Niagara on the lake, Niagara falls, and on winery tours. Taking a boat could be more pleasant and possibly faster than driving? Doesn't seem that crazy to me.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

So yeah, after a sports game getting from ACC to subway does seem much worse now than last year, as expected.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

510 is insanely packed during rush, and long line ups at stations to get on. The new streetcars are a huge improvement, the multi-door low floor boarding means a huge amount of people get on quickly.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Makes total sense to have a UPX station at Eglinton, no sense at the current Lawrence location.

    TTC surface stop spacing

It says 38 min on the Crosstown website.

Kitchener to Toronto train service & the tech sector

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kitchener-waterloo/more-go-trains-not-a-real-solution-says-stephen-lake-1.3324308 Thalmic CEO seems to want to hire or retain more people who live in Toronto (as do other Waterloo tech companies I'd assume). Is it even viable though? Say they cut commute time to...

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Not sure what demographics you're referring to, but demographics are pretty diverse along the line (ex. Leaside and Thorncliffe Park, Forest Hill and Eglinton west of Allen), and currently many use transit with many frequent bus lines that are well used covering the whole line.
