    East Bayfront: Parkside/Bayside/Dockside neighbourhoods Overview

I have read JJ, and I agree the multiple deveopers is idea, but in terms of getting something done sooner rather than later, a single developer would speed the process. I was more or less musing about the possible idea of getting this area developed quickly, and the only way I could see that...

    Transformation AGO (5s, Gehry) COMPLETE

Why would they change the cladding behind the new wings? There isnt going to be any gallery space behind the wings, and for the most part I think the concrete slabs are going to be unseen beind the glass. Sure, glass is see-through, but the angles will likely reflect the sky/street more than...

Filmport appears to be turning into Toronto's "Red Building" district. Bring it on!

    East Bayfront: Parkside/Bayside/Dockside neighbourhoods Overview

I am sure I will be shot for saying this but.... I wonder if it would be more effective for the city to grant one company the development rights of all the land within this district, sort of like Concord was awarded the rail lands. Now, before everyone jumps on the "we hate CityPlace"...

    Maple Leaf Gardens renovations delayed

The problem with that idea is that the limited number of Canada's super rich have already donated their millions of dollars to existing museums and galleries. Dont expect any new large scale museums or galleries to open any time soon. Even the Museum of Toronto seems to have trouble coming to...

    Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

The city block will be named Reitman Square, so will have no real effect on the naming of the building. The city block is Reitman Square, the condo tower is Festival Tower, the TIFF component is the Bell Lightbox, and the Lobby is the Myrna Lobby. It all makes sense to me. How much space...

    Toronto The Mercer | 111.55m | 33s | Beaverhall | BBB

Darkstar - you're absolutely right. John Street really is the backbone of Toronto, and calling it a string of pearls sums up just how lush it is with attractions/centres of interest. Perhaps there should be more focus on this one street during events like Luminato. The street could be shut...

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

No more white ads PLEASE! I hope that the centre ad is one big advertisement, and not several, which it likely will be. Time to now start adding "frills" to the top. This sucker needs a crown make it's tackyness over the top.

wont it have the same glass as RBC next door?

    Toronto The Mercer | 111.55m | 33s | Beaverhall | BBB

This condo development, and any development along John Street, just adds to the need for John St to get an overhaul. I thought that John Street would have been the perfect place for the Canadian Walk of Fame, which currently stretches along King St, but will eventually be going into the park...

Toronto George Brown College Waterfront Campus | ?m | 8s | George Brown | KPMB

I am all for having some College buildings on the waterfront, but I wouldnt want to see a "campus" there. I fear it would create too much of an isolated feel. If a couple of buildings were tied into the fabric of a mixed use area, then go ahead, but if it becomes a set district, I am against...

The site is a parking lot right now. I have been wondering when this lot will be developed.

Artist would put ordinary souls on pedestal in Trafalgar Square

I like that they have had a "rotating schedule" of sculptures that are on the one remaining pedistal in TSquare. The problem is, they dont rotate it enough. The current sculpture, one of a pregnant woman with no arms or fully developed legs, has benn there since at least 2004. I would...

Union Station: Union Pearson Group Proposal

Hey - your notice has some trippy colours on it. Mine was just boring black and white... er... black and yellow.

    The TTC Metropass, 2008 Edition

What are people complaining about? The TTC Metropass is much better looking than many passes I have seen on other transit systems. Has anyone seen London's Oyster card? It is one half blue, one half white with the Oyster logo on it. Anyone seen NYC's Metro card? Boring yellow, flimsy...

    Museum Station

Unless they are going to have tile cleaners back on the payroll, there is no use putting in patterend tiles as they will just get all dirty. That is on of my biggest beefs with the TTC stations. The walls are SO DIRTY. The other is that the ceilings are always in some state of disrepair.

    Simcoe St. Underpass & Extension

problem is that there are 2 buildings on either side of the existing "stump" road south of Front. They could never had widened this to 2 lanes each way.

I certainly hope that whatever goes on the tri-vision, it isnt mostly white. There are FAR TOO MANY white ads on this building. We needs COLOUR
