    Vancouver 2010 Olympic Ticket Price

I remember reading somewhere that VANOC was going to install large TV screens outside the venues and in public areas showing the events for free. Not to say that this gives them the go-ahead for charging high prices, but at least it does give an opportunity for everyone to get involved and see...

2007 Ontario Election: What's happening in your riding?

That is the way things go these dayes - brand the party on the leaders name. In this election we saw "The John Tory Party". In the Martin era it was Paul Martin's Team. The federal NDP is always refered to now as Jack Layton's NDP or Jack Layton and the NDP. It is a way of appearing new or...

2007 Ontario Election: Will Tory lose Don Valley West?

I wonder how this defeat will effect his future political life. Tory has claimed that he will continue to serve the public in some manner, but will anyone want him? He worked on the failed Kim Campbell campaigne, he lost the Toronto mayoral race, and how he lost the Ontario Provincial...

    2007 Ontario Election: MMP Referendum

I thought that MMP had a chance. For the most part, I think that there was a really poor job done educating the public on what MMP really is (pros and cons), which I feel would have lead to it's success. I think there is a general feeling out there that our electoral system is flawed, and this...

    Toronto The Berczy | 41.76m | 13s | Concert | Arcadis

Ugh, back to that argument that empty parking lots should be developed first. Need we remind everyone that it is up to individual land owners to propose what they want on land they own, not on land they dont own.....

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

I am sure there will be at least one INFORMATION booth located in/around YD Square, once the new street furniture contract is underway.

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

Actually.... I passed by Montage not too long ago and the same black trim is applied to all 4 sides of the tower, right down from the base to about the 5th floor or so, where they are currently with the windows. Perhaps there will be no red pre-cast on Montage?

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

For the most part, that wall wont be seen, so I doubt anyone would want to pay to advertise there. There are few angles where a good view of that blank wall can be seen. I think that a big amc sign should rise from that space, going higher than the wall itself (half on, half off). Likely...

Oct 10 Ontario Election: Predict the Result

the PC's will keep Tory. Aside from the Faith Based Schools slip up, he was doing rather well in this election. With a few more years of experience, he may have the ability to win over the populace in 2011.

2007 Ontario Election: What's happening in your riding?

Election Predictor Project has just updated their predictions for the election.. Liberal 47 seats PC 25 seats NDP 9 seats Too Close to tell 26 seats They tend to be pretty accurate, at about 80 - 95% correct over the past several elections (provincial across the country and federal)...

    Toronto Waterlink at Pier 27 | 43.89m | 14s | Cityzen | a—A

Looks like there is enough space fronting Queens Quay for another building...could that be further down the line?

    Nuit Blanche

There are several cities who have put on a Nuit Blanche, but aside from the original in Paris, I think Toronto is the only city that has done it to such overwhelming success.

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

I'm looking forward to seeing the overhang on NEO constructed.

The CBC is going to lose such a great view of the city......

Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

I think we are a little harsh on this forum. Toronto has quite a few gems. For a city it's size, Toronto is quite blessed architecturally. I have had several friends from out of town/country come to visit who have marvelled at our downtown and the variety of architectural styles, and how...

    Toronto Malibu Harbourfront Condo | ?m | 32s | Malibu Investments | P + S / IBI

That area is going to look SO COMPLETELY different once all those condos are built. I cant wait.

Toronto Panorama at Concord CityPlace | 96.01m | 28s | Concord Adex | BDP Quadrangle

Someone wondered about the entrance/exit to Panorama. Could the entrance possibly be north of the site, off of Dan Lekie (or whatever it is called) which runs under the Gardiner, south from Fort York Blvd? that would make most sense to me. It would connect Panorama to the rest of CityPlace...

    Liberty Village Update (Sept 30)

That CityPlace is such a horrible place. But man, Liberty Village is cool... ????

    Transformation AGO (5s, Gehry) COMPLETE

Where are the outward curving bits on the windsheild? From that last pic, it appears that all glass will bend towards the building. Wasnt the end bits supposed to "peel back"?

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

or perhaps you are looking at the back of the building which may have always been designed to have black panels. Any of the renderings I have seen show only the front. Maybe the brick panels are to go on the front only?
