    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

The PanAm/Parapan Am cauldron has been removed from the base of the CN Tower. Anyone know where it went/what is to become of it?

    TORONTO Pan Am Sign

Works in the summer but not the winter when ice skaters would be skating around it. Still.... it might work.

I also like the idea of the sign staying in NPS permanently. I do, however, have concerns about it's exact location in the square post-games. Once the PanAms have left Toronto, and the square isn't as busy as it currently is (and the security guards that I presume are there, are no longer...

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

BurlOak - in the stadium. Most of the crowd left before they brought out the medals.

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

I too was at the Rugby 7's match on Sunday. The Upper Tier on the east side was empty because they were not selling tickets for those sections. Even if all other seats were sold, they would not release tickets there (nor was there access). I am not sure why you think there was no medal...

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

They couldn't open the Dome because the staging inside was hanging from it. I too wanted to see the dome open up at some point (having a base jumper actually come down into the Dome form the CN Tower instead of on video would have been cool) but realized as soon as I saw the set-up inside that...

    Toronto Parade at Concord CityPlace | 127.4m | 44s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

The metal frame for the pedestrian bridge is on site, ready to be lifted into place. Currently..... a light yellow colour. EDIT: Pedestrian bridge over the tracks, not the bridge between the buildings.....

    Toronto Canoe Landing Park | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex

Agreed . That was the first thing I thought would be great when I first saw the turf.

Toronto CityPlace Puente de Luz Bridge | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex | Francisco Gazitua

CityPlace Pedestrian Bridge I am quite surprised that noone has posted any images and information on the CityPlace Pedestrian Bridge. There was an article and image in the Bulletin that was circulated a few weeks ago. It quotes: "Vaughan gave updates on other topics at the meeting...

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

There just couldnt be an extension of the grid pattern in CityPlace. We have already seen the problem with getting just a little pedestrian bridge over the rail tracks. Getting more than one, and making them vehicle bridges would be so much harder (boo on GO and CN Rail). Concord has done as...

Silly number 13. It gets no love anywhere.

Head of Slips (Waterfront Toronto, West 8/DTAH)

Under-slip lighting really is needed to make these wavy additions to our waterfront something really beautiful. I am looking forward to this first step in the WEST8/DTAH design for our waterfront.

    Toronto 550 Wellington West and 1 Hotel | ?m | 15s | Freed | a—A

I stayed at 60 Columbus circle a few months back. Not bad. Small hotel, but rather nice. Not sure how this will work in Toronto though. I guess the profit from the condo component to all these boutique hotels makes the cost of construction worth the effort.

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

You will get your notice 2 or 3 days after the 30 day mark - but the letters will be dated and post marked before the 30 days.

Toronto Panorama at Concord CityPlace | 96.01m | 28s | Concord Adex | BDP Quadrangle

I dont think it is part of their mandate (maybe it is?) but I think that WaterfronToronto should hold an international design competition for the roadways and intersections under the Gardiner. Connecting the city with the water is very much needed. Lets forget arguing over whether or not the...

Wow, CityPlace buildings are so cold that they even cause snow to fall!

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

agreed lordmandeep. The city doesnt need to sponsor everything in Toronto. Good to see companies jumping on board and giving back to the communities that support them.

Toronto CityPlace: Montage + Neo (Concord Adex, 47 + 16s, KPMB)

There was a proposal to build a retirement home further east (where the hole in the ground is, leading to SkyDome Parking), but that was squashed by Ted Rogers (I think... or someone associated with the Jays). I dont think there was ever a plan to build anything on the current parking lot...

    Toronto Corus Quay | ?m | 8s | Waterfront Toronto | Diamond Schmitt

The entire building should have been one giant egg. Or 2 giant eggs connected by a series of twisting and turning walkways between the 2.

Waterfront: Jarvis Slip Public Space Design Competition

And you think a lot of people would have used the very open, exposed to the elements JR design? I certainly dont think so. It is funny. Some have the opinion that HTO has been a HUGE success, yet there are some who continue to say that noone ever uses it. OK, it isnt used a lot in the...
