Are all elevator companies equally bad

Service issues aside, some new tech in elevators look quite good. https://multi.thyssenkrupp-elevator.com/en/ https://www.technologyreview.com/s/608167/worlds-first-cable-free-elevator-zooms-horizontally-and-vertically-using-maglev-tech/

They managed 488 University. It'd love to see ACC's roof turned into a public space or park. Maybe Scotia will feel like one-upping CIBC.

I'm not sure if it's wonderful or sad that lake view will be disappearing from every angle very soon. Time to look into East Bayfront.

Looking forward to seeing the cleaner sloped roof of this building. Finally the curve won't be broken by ugly at the top.

Walked by the site recently. That core is quite an impressive monolith.

I think it adds a bit of variety. If we go straight to the tower portion, that may be a bit harsh of a transition for the area. That upper portion though, I enjoy the levels alternating balconies and solid glass walls.

This looks as good as promised, glass or no glass. Nice addition to the neighbourhood.

Looks great. The planted area should look great in a year or two. And once the trees are big enough for shade.

I'm having trouble remembering the original building. This is decent upgrade.

These 3 blocks will block my view of the lake. But it’ll be exciting seeing the city evolve. About time those lands are utilized better.

I know it will never happen, but how awesome would it be if those lights extend all the way down the white sides. Or down the front wedge.

There are many species of grass. They just need to find something else, that are more drought tolerant, and more durable. There are some that are even fluffier and would be even more comfortable to sit on.

Looks like they simply covered up the ripped areas with asphalt. This is ridiculously bad. We just put those pavers down, and now it’s marred by black asphalt. I hope it’s temporary. Somebody show me how to lay pavers, and I will volunteer weekends to fix them. I’ve laid a stone patio...

Maybe the eyes of the fountain pugs can be equipped with cameras. Turn it into a 360 view of the park somewhere online. Free Black Mirror episode idea.

Somehow people don't associate cigarette butts as being litter. Unless it's a grain of sand, it's a non-zero piece of litter.
