June 14, from this afternoon. The pond's water surface looks great at ground level, especially when there's a breeze causing waves.

A few quick updates from today:

May 28th from The Second City: Super excited to see this park finally open. It's come a long way from when they tore down the offramp back in 2017:

A month later and the patio decks for Boxcar Social and Harbourfront Centre look complete. The western portion around the trees has progressed. From what I can tell, they've shifted the hoarding beyond the patio area, which makes me think they plan to start using the patios before finishing...

More work is being done on the pathways to the north-west, and they've started laying stones into the pond. Is the whole pond interior going to be covered like this?

It would have been nice if they found a way to incorporate those columns, but seeing this park come together compared to what used to be there, it's going to be fantastic. From April 2017 just prior to demolition:

I would love to see them carry over these improvements to QQW. Grade-separation and open planters would be too high a cost, but the continuation of the MGT right up to the roadway at intersections alone could be huge, especially at York and Queens Quay which has one of the worst "mixing zones"...

Good lord the road design from Lower Simcoe to York is a mess. You've got cars coming off the Gardiner attempting to make the first left at York street, while the two Harbour lanes try to get around them merging right. The left lane is backed up with York street turning traffic, and the lane...

There's been a few discussions about making use of vertical white bars as a transit only signal for King, though the TTC only uses these as a transit turning stage. Has anyone mentioned just fully installing the three light transit signals along King? With transit only signals, they could leave...
