    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

I don't disagree with you but on this particular site transit really isn't a priority compared to other areas in TO. Sugar Wharf phase 1 and 2 are with in a couple minute walk of Union station. Even Danial's is fine unless you have mobility issues. Probably faster to walk to union from there...

    Toronto No7 Rosedale | 16.76m | 4s | Platinum Vista | Hariri Pontarini

Every time I come across this proposal I have to laugh. If there were a phrase dictionary this should appear beside 'money talks', or 'wealthy privilege'. Compared to the other stuff that gets torn down across TO every month this must be the definition of elites using their time and resources to...

    Toronto The HUB | 258.46m | 59s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

I'm not sure what the original concern was but a wrong committed years ago by the past builder doesn't give a new developer the right to wrong the current neighbours. Lose to the value, or enjoyment of a property should be carried by all parties involved. Of course not all complaints are...

yeah, I already deleted my post. I looked at the picture more carefully and realized that it wasn't a rock, just dirt.

I really doubt that. This is where the pile of dirt is at the bottom of the pit and excavator has been here the entire time loading trucks. I think it's up on the pile of skids so the operator can see what the heck he is doing.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

The excavator on the wooden skids and concrete 'railing' seems a little sketchy. I guess excavators are operated in precarious positions all the time

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

There is actually quite a bit of land available to built on in TO. When you compare TO with old European cities we have parking lots and under utilized land galore. I think the issue is more nuanced and multi-faceted than lack of space. High rise concrete construction is booming compared to...

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Are you actually a trust fund douche-bag or do you just sound like one? Being able to go to sleep at midnight on a Thurs in an area that is 95% residential comes before your need to party until 3am and the bylaws agree with me. Unfortunately they don't get enforced 95% of the time. You want to...

    Toronto Minto Westside | 68.88m | 20s | Minto Group | Wallman Architects

The problem is that there are still quite a few small buildings that hook up to them. If they get rid of them every building with the old hookup has to reroute their electrical. Doing this unleashes a gigantic mess as anything that is changed needs to be brought up to current code and it becomes...

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

In my personal experience there is absolutely no enforcement at Bathurst a I can only speak to my experience and my neighbour initiative to get the city to enforce its own bylaws at Bathurst and College. This intersection is surround by low rise residential on all corners while the...

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Getting the city to enforce its noise bylaws is hopeless. I've tried! Like trying to get a child to eat its vegetables. Whether its from construction or nightclubs it's impossible to get the city to act with any authority. I even once had a live band playing on the roof top of a store for...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

The coach buses will need to back out of their loading spots? That seems very inefficient and possibly unsafe?

    Toronto 100 Queens Quay at Sugar Wharf | 117.34m | 25s | Menkes | B+H

Well... I understand the east end of Queens Quay will need transit one day but these three buildings will be a 10 min walk from Union. Considering the other gaps in the TTC this transit line is probably on the same priority level or less than a LRT on Jane or Keele.

    Toronto Bathurst College Centre | ?m | 4s | RioCan | Turner Fleischer

I suspect no one wants to build on this corner because it's full of loud nightclubs (Nest/Den, El Rancho, Sneaky Dee's, etc), drug dealers and has a murder or attempted murder every 6-12 months. There are lots of properties ~300m away from here that are much harder to build on because of...

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Good luck figuring that out. Organizations have done entire investigative reports into this. The fill industry is quite unregulated at the moment and it is starting to draw some criticism from environmental organizations. The location where the fill is dumped is usually kept from the public...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

I think the dark ground is likely glacial till. Which is basically a mix of rock (possibly shale), sand, etc. It is usually very compact and hard (due to the mix of large rocks, fine dirt and weight of previous glaciers that were on top) for earth but diggable. I doubt that you would encounter...

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

Picaso has some (technically not roof top more like roof top balcony) and the building on the southwest corner of College and Bathurst beside the parking lot. Only a ~10 story building but it has trees up there around the back.

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

I think that's close to impossible. They still need to agree with the city and there are no guarantees how long that could take. They could start demolishing the buildings that aren't heritage protected immediately. Say the mentioned June date is correct. Next they need to complete the design...
