    Toronto Bike Share

Excited about the Gerrard and Vic Park...getting closer and closer to my house. I'm really hoping for one at Vic Park and Kingston. Seems there's space on the north side of Kingston Rd. just east of Vic Park, or on the south-east corner of Kingston and Victoria Park. My annual pass renewal is...

    Toronto Bike Share

Had my first call with customer support today after my bike return at King and Fraser this morning wasn't recognized by the system. They insisted I didn't return it, but the bike was firmly locked into the bay exactly where I left it in the morning. I provided pics of the bike barcode and the...

Noticed that last night as well. I think I was there around the same time.

Seeing the slab get poured and then the first below ground levels starting to come up and eventually reaching grade is going to take this from ho-hum (but interesting) to the next level of excitement.

The east end is indeed the sandstone coloured tile (as expected). And the Shoppers is now open (as of yesterday). As usual, they've covered the windows in typical Shoppers' fashion, isolating the store from the street. I wish that were banned.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

A large, v-shaped plow on the front would be helpful to prevent both derailments and also provide self-clearing of the tracks in the event of a collision or even parked cars blocking. Something like this:

Was 4542 unloaded or is it waiting in line somewhere?

4574 is tracking now. Can anyone confirm if 4539 entered service and, if yes, what the date it entered service was?

What if we had a Notre Dame scale fire?

They are spending a billion dollars restoring and renovating the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa right now.

I had the chance to bike over closer to see these things in person the other day and the facets shown in the renders are indeed there. Subtle, but you can see them in the balconies. Looking forward to the white panels going in that will define the different planes more clearly.

4539 has stale tracking data. And given that some cars show up with locations in the lake, or northern Ontario, unless you have eyes on the car, it's probably not safe to assume it's where the tracking data says it was.

    Toronto MEC Queen Street (Mountain Equipment Coop) | 21.03m | 3s | Parallax | Sweeny &Co

I visited on Saturday to pick up some stuff. The inside is pretty nice and an improvement over the old store. No comment on the exterior.

Fences are up around the old auto mechanic building. Nothing yet around the house on the corner.

4532, 4534 and 4535 are all tracking. No 4533 yet but it was just offloaded the other day. 4532 and 4534 are out and about this evening.

More pics here would suggest the hotel is fairly freestanding as opposed to an integral part of the structure that holds up the roof. https://www.blogto.com/city/2016/09/how_toronto_built_the_most_hyped_sports_stadium_ever/

IIRC the hotel was a tack-on and not part of the original design that sits outside of the "ring" of the roof. No idea whether that means it can be surgically removed to open up the north end somehow or not, but having more of an open air feel out in the outfield would help, especially if that...
