    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

^ Literally just came here to post about it. I've been skeptical of this project (mostly Mizrahi's attitude tbh) but I am very impressed by that retail space. It's unlike anything I've ever seen before. And it does scream Apple Store lol can't wait for it to be a Rexall :/

    Toronto 110 Eglinton East | 236.55m | 58s | Madison Group | Rafael Viñoly

Incredible. Love the podium situation and all that walkable space.

I wish they carried over some of this design language towards St George Street as well. There's no need for that street to be as car-centric as it is.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Seeing as they went from 99.16 to 99.33 in a month, can we assume this will be ready by August?

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

I wonder if they will open the new Harbour Street extension anytime soon, seeing as how fast this is progressing. Any info on that?

    Toronto Nobu Residences Toronto | 156.66m | 45s | Madison Group | Teeple Architects

The most shocking thing about all of this is the fact that Mercer has been kept in that derelict and frankly useless state when it should be pedestrianized (either fully or at least partially) and redesigned.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Where are Bloor and Weston passengers supposed to hang out for 30 min while they wait for their train? I don't recall the Pearson platform (or any of them, really) having adequate seating and facilities for such wait times.

    Church-Wellesley Village

Now this is coming straight from dreamland but it would be great if this building were bought up and donated to the 519 in lieu of the sad space they wanted to carve out for them at that proposal on the NE corner of Church and Wellesley. Probably too hefty a price tag but it's nice to think...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I sometimes wonder if it would be feasible to elevate/bury both Jane and Eglinton and unite all four corners of greenery into a massive urban park and forest.

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

Wouldn't it make sense for any potential line on Jane to go on/over the train tracks between Lawrence and Eglinton, and then down to Dundas West (stopping at Mount Dennis and Stockyards)? I get that the line has to connect to Line 2 in addition to just Line 5, but I don't think it has to be Jane...

    Toronto 68 Wellesley Street East | 91.9m | 28s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

So the mid-section between the existing heritage portion and the white tower is supposed to be community space for the 519? I'm happy to see that. The design itself is whatever.

    Brampton Bramrose Square | ?m | 68s | Starbank | Turner Fleischer

That proposed parkland is laughable tbh, just like the rest of this proposal. It's a good start but it needs to be made way more humane.

    Toronto 475 Yonge Street | 255.76m | 78s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

I would imagine they could be making it easier to pass it on to another developer in this current market if it's two lots instead of one?

but like, and pardon my lack of engineering knowledge, wouldn't it be possible to tunnel past Kennedy station just enough to make it above ground, and then potentially go elevated? does the way they built Kennedy impede any further tunnelling (or even cut and cover, if just for a bit)?

    Toronto Gerrard-Carlaw South TOC: Badgerow, Carlaw & Thackeray Block | 79.08m | 23s | Infrastructure ON | SvN

They need to switch the location of the 23 storey building and the southernmost 11 storey one so the smoke stacks can have their own moment. Also are any of the heritage facades on the eastern edge of the site being retained?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I hope this means that GO service can soon start feeling more like Berlin's S-Bahn and not the mess that it can be under Metrolinx's leadership. The press release says the consortium will be in charge of train service planning, which I hope also means we get consistent line/route nomenclature...

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Obviously outdoor malls in Canada aren't as ideal as they'd be in The Bahamas. But what is the alternative? Only having indoor spots to hang out? Being resigned to dark and dingy spots just because it's cold? If there's anyone on Earth who knows how to brave the winter it's Canadians. And sure...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I made a slightly less crunchy version (now with a legend!). If anyone has recommendations for easy/accessible/ideally web-based software recommendations to make this a bit easier, I'm all ears! I also included a few changes in this version, namely consolidating both entrances on Sorauren Park...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Are there plans to combine the future Lansdowne GO station with Dundas West? I thought they'd remain as separate stations on separate lines. Also yeah, the distances are quite short, but about the same as that between Union and the future Front-Spadina section. I have been living and travelling...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

this isn't exactly a transit fantasy map, but its an idea i've been thinking about for a while. when talking about go electrification/RER and intensification of the downtown core, i can't help but think of the massive potential for redevelopment at the No Frills site on Dundas West. barring some...
