They should leave those fences up and call it a dog park. It'd be packed. ;)

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

At the risk of sounding hysterical as complaining on the internet usually does, does anyone know why they didn't start building the new bridge/ramp DVP/Gardiner connection before dismantling the Lake Shore ramp? I've searched for a reason and can find timelines and studies, but no reasoning...

There's something about a little tugboat towing a futuristic looking bridge that brings a grin to my face.

Logical thought but they look pretty new. From the pics they still have the cardboard tag stapled to the top from the mill too.

Have they stopped using the main road as a go bus station yet? When they were planning on moving them after the subway was completed, I thought it would make that main park much more inviting. Especially if they would do something like replace the road with cobble.

It's great to see they're getting dedicated building. It's one of the better curated galleries in the city (even though it's on the far edge). Too bad the grounds are losing that cut through a parkette. When I went there (briefly) I used it often, and the cut throughs in general were one of my...

Great shots! I keep thinking that the James Turrell art piece would be amazing if they installed in on the 3 sides facing into the courtyard. Just daydreaming of course, no possibility of it happening. (And if you can't tell, I'm still disappointed the original plan was mixed (I blame Trump)).

This doesn't seem too much wider than CIBC square. Eye test only though, I couldn't find any measurements regarding the width of these 2 buildings. I'm curious what the DRP would say about CIBC's width not being an issue compared to this being a deal breaker here.

Wow, through this whole boom I don't remember seeing a 3 crane project! Does anyone know what the last building that took 3 cranes to build in Toronto was? BCE place? Scotia? Richmond and bay stump?

It's a great read and even a bit mystical while using hard science, which I personally love. LEAF, a gta non-profit, also runs a great tree identification course. I don't currently see anything on the calendar but watch for it if you're interested. Very useful, not just for ID-ing but also for...

I wouldn't call myself an expert but I've taken a class and have read a couple books on trees. The general idea is that when trees are dormant it's less trematic for them to be transplanted. So anytime while they don't have leaves. Winter doesn't work because it's hard to dig--so fall or spring...

Ya, the Snow lights have been on steady for over a month now. There's still some dead spots on the strip but I'm guessing they're tired trying to fix it. I'm just happy that one day I won't say "oh look, the Trump tower lights are on/broken again"...
