I can see High-Line type of linear park installed on (at least portion of) the decommissioned ramp, touching ground at new, redesign square in front of RBC.

Two reasons to use so called granular materials as underlayment: 1. voids are providing good drainage & permeability 2. it is a good way to mitigate necessary slab slopes to assure levelled base for pavers

nothing personal.. 1. Bloor St is bent between Bay & Yonge, 2. Property lines with mandatory setbacks are determining potential expansion, simple thing really, bent ROW=usually bent facade 3. The image above is undersigned "Applicant's proposal", which is simply not true

well sir/madam, Funny thing, Bloor St.W. in this very section is actually not a straight line, that should be the first hint that your description is far from being precise. Sometimes memory can play a trick on you. BTW, the image posted above was certainly not produced by the architects.

The whole debate reminds me of "Sunday Shopping" issue some years ago. Naysayers didn't change a bit from then, even their arguments are as valid as they are "new". Relax people, live a little. Have a quick trip to Vagas maybe, loose a few bucks, come back happy, entertained and safe! Then you...

Stackt Container Market (28 Bathurst St, future park)

What is worrisome to me, is that this proposal virtually kills any feasible chance for future extension of Front St. (to the west). Much studied options from the past decades, with some modifications, could still make sense now, but with this happening? Nowhere in LEA study there is even any...

Nothing is ascertained until it is actually built. Well, as far as a graceful "Newcomer credence" comment goes? hmmm... Not yapping about 'everything'n'everywhere' surely makes me a newcomer.. Thanks! :)

You are right! Common sense is the issue here! Nothing personal. I have noticed that the casino idea is rejected mostly by people who describe themselves as progressive thinkers, yet they cultivate the notion of the casino inprinted in their minds by the really old movies or some...
