Just a thought, are the developers keeping in mind that a future park may one day be built just south of the building on top of the railtracks? are they designing something that will have some kind of presence at the ground level? shops/resturants etc?
Is the green lighting on the upper portion of the tower fixed? It would be neat if it was changeable with whatever event/holiday/celebration happening along with the CN tower and other buildings around.
By a missed opportunity I meant similarly to the Hudson Yards, Toronto could have built something on a much larger scale on top of the adjacent eyesore rail tracks that are running through our city. Taller and more prominent structures that will add to our skyline. We could have had art...
I feel like this location has the potential to go for something even bigger, like the (Hudson Yards) in NYC. Density, shading of nearby buildings or transportation wouldn't be an issue here, so why not go larger to add more to Toronto's skyline.
The design of the park from the Sugar Wharf is different from the one that is seen in the renders of 1 Yonge. Does anyone know what the final design will look like? I'm kind of rooting for the one with the big fountain that is seen in the renders of 1 Yonge
