    Toronto The Yorkville Condominiums | 104.54m | 31s | Lifetime | Wallman Architects

??? I lived on McMurrich so I know the street very well. I don't get it. I think the tower looks top heavy and mish-mashy....awkward to be exact. Why do you guys like it so much and why do you think it would be one of the best condo projects in the city....I'm askin'!

Pet Food Shops in Downtown Toronto?

It may be off the beaten trail for you....but for anyone who is looking for a great selection of high end foods, without the high end prices......for both dogs and cats....the Kennel Cafe on Roncesvalles Ave. is amazing. The woman who owns it, Esther, is very knowledgeable about cat and dog...

    Irresponsible Dog Owners

I agree with most of what has been said on this thread. My dog is microchipped and so are my two INDOOR cats. In spite of this, I pay city licensing fees on all three every year...never quite understood the rationale on having to license a cat that never goes outside....money grab I...

who can teach me speak english

I'm not sure if anyone on here actually took the time to break it down....but the English is very good for most of it.....too good....then it jumps into "text messaging"....the grammar is better than most actual English speakers....it is a total set-up for something. I speak French and Italian...

    Laser Eye Surgery

Google the Hamilton Laser Eye Institute....it's on Upper Wentworth (on the mountain) in Hamilton. I had gone to the Bochner and was quoted $4500. I then spoke with a few people who had it done in Hamilton. I went out for the consultation etc. and had it done.....no problems whatsoever...

    Toronto First Canadian Place Rejuvenation | 298.08m | 72s | Brookfield | MdeAS Architects

I'm wondering if they may be putting the "smaller triangle" panels on higher up the tower.....if so, perhaps it would make the tower seem even taller visually when one looks up at it and the triangles are much smaller...thoughts?

CN Tower-A new look at an old friend

Does anyone remember the white donut shape on the bottom of the main observation deck back in the 80's. They came up with some gross idea to sell space for advertising on it. There was a coca-cola sign on it that was lit at night.....didn't last too long, but the image was "burned" onto the...

    Drapes

not sure what a "fortune" would be for you when getting custom made draperies, but I had ten foot draperies custom made with white backing and shears to fit a five foot wide window for $950...installed......by Portugal Draperies on Ossington....good guy to deal with as well!

    Loft / Sliding interior Door

I live in a loft and was looking to replace my sliding "barn style" doors with glass ones.....try Home Depot.....they had quite a bit to choose from and could do them in almost any finish.

    Best Burger

This thread tells me y'all gotta get out further more often.....two great burger joints.....Islington south of Norseman.....South Street Burgers (interesting toppings)....and Kipling ( I believe at North Queen) Royal Barbeque Meats.....the latter offering half and one pound burgers.....you see...

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

First...I was being facetious! Second.....I agree in part with you said...however.....I was being nice about what I said...i.e. all inclusive...I don't have to be...My background is recognized by the government as full Algonquin Woodland....my cousin is the chief.....so, I have a right to say...

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

I miss those neon lights at Yorkdale so much! I really wish they'd bring them back. I always remember arriving back into Toronto as a kid and seeing them and feeling like the city was "even more futuristic"!

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

If Toronto got the Olympics...we are already considered the most diverse city on the planet.....why not have a representative of each community that makes up Toronto....based on their major contribution to making this city so great to live in.......based on gender, colour, age, religion...

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

Thanks for that, Redroom! I appreciate it. I like the basic idea of the building, but seeing it in the skyline rendering, I agree with a few others that it looks like an "incomplete" story being told. Sorry for waxing poetic. A couple of thoughts.....maybe they are looking to add floors...

    Evocative Images of Lost Toronto

I have to admit.....one thing that has always struck and stuck with me about these photos....is that I see all these beautiful (often poor looking) little children and think ....omg...this pic was in 1915 or whatever...and that that little child is either incredibly old or dead by now. It makes...

Sounds really mushy and messy....throw some yoghurt on there and they could shorten the name to "smoothie"

    More Lost Toronto in colour

I agree with your comment about small farmers with respect to factory farming...and farming animals will always be a part of our culture....however, all one has to do is check the sales on MLS of small farms or read the articles on factory farming taking over to realize and understand that what...
