Thanks both of you. I knew about the tilt over Simcoe, didn't realize there was one over front too. Thanks!

This might be a dumb question, but it seems like the building is leaning over front street. Is that really the case or is just an optical illusion. Also, leaning might be the wrong word, maybe tilting? Obviously it would be on purpose and part of the design, I just can't tell if it is or not.

From May 25th evening. There were multiple pallets of the fake brick cladding waiting to be installed. Doesn't look bad IMO except for the bottom corner on the furthest east side. Different from what we have in the area already in terms of colour scheme so I'm looking forward to the rest.

Second crane being installed yesterday (May 12) I can barely see the tip of the 2nd (eastern crane) from my bedroom window, so I'll be able to keep this thread updated relatively consistently during the construction of these towers.

I'd assume this is all temporary until there are more proposals for the former Walmart site, but a Drive-In movie theatre (even with nearby light pollution) and food trucks would make for a fun summer destination!

New development in Plan-It. 9 towers total, on 6 podiums, ranging from 30-58 floors. Looks to be done in 3 phases. On Jane st. south of Hwy 7. Lots of green space between and around buildings. 4,563 Residential Units 2,371.1 m2 of Retail 364,330.6 m2 of Residential (woah)

    Markham Pavilia Towers | ?m | 36s | Times Group | Icke Brochu

I'm all for height when it comes to buildings, but these towers look so out of place. They are on top of a "hill" and by far the tallest things for a few kilometers. Plus the look isn't very good (IMO). They just don't look good and they tower over everything nearby.

Today: Interesting design on the "bridge" over the driveway. Seems like really thick triangles that will limit the window space. Feat: A goose that thinks it is a flamingo

Is there any chance the design of the Phase 3 tower changes by the time construction on that begins? It looks very similar to the Skytower design and I know it'll be a few years before phase 3 gets underway. Are the designs "locked in"? Any insight would be much appreciated!

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

(obligatory 'I'm new here' start to this question) Is this how the whole building will go up? Large steel beams followed by scaffolding and "floor pours"? Because just this first floor has taken what has felt like months, surely there will be faster progress as this building grows, right?

I'm still a newbie, I'll get the hang of it one day! Glad to contribute, it was fun exploring downtown today!
