I think the strip is relatively strong given the context, across the street from big box stores and along a very busy thoroughfare. There's a few cafes, a grocer and small retail. I'm happy to see the proposal includes small SF commercial space.

Cafes around university campuses used to be quite reliable for late hours. However, the eternal "buy something else or don't sit with your laptop for five hours" struggle could be a factor in some places closing earlier.

While I'm not typically a fan of the Olympics circus, the use of the Seine, Eiffel Tower and Jardins du Trocadéro for the Paris Opening Ceremony was certainly innovative. Does Toronto have any existing parks or corridors that could accommodate such a presentation?
