This gives me a pretty big vote of confidence that construction on The Hub would start sooner than later. I doubt they'd be anticipating starting construction on a couple more million square feet of office towers in 2023 (also the projected opening date of the Hub) if they weren't getting some...

It would be cool, but it is actually for the construction elevators/lifts. They started putting it up yesterday ?

Got an interesting reason to bump this thread today. Found this in my mail after work:

This is true, but I was under the impression that the additional height (and lower density) of the resubmission still triggered a full zoning review on that site for some reason as opposed to being minor variance. Not sure!

Out of curiosity, why would the staff report for this come back so fast as opposed to Mirvish and Gehry which was resubmitted at Christmas? I was hoping to see that project in sales this summer finally!

Are they pouring that western slab to act as a staging area for excavation similar to what we're seeing at The One and 57 Spadina? I believe that side is still to be excavated down 5/6 levels

Awesome! I've been wondering when they'd resubmit this. I'm a sucker for these narrow infill sites and the cladding materials look like they could be interesting. As far as I know this was approved already at the committee of adjustment and it looks like these are rentals as well, so it's...

Carlyle Condos just north of it will use some good materials too based on the zoning. The three building stretch of this one, Carlyle, and QRC will be pretty solid!

And now we know who to - parkland incoming! Source: Allied's Q1 2019 Financial Disclosures

Is this full depth now? I think this is only going 3 stories down and it looks like the larger excavator isn't in the pit anymore.

Construction staging area was passed by Community Council as well - the area just east of King Blue on King will be closed off starting June 1st.

I'll see if I can grab some pics tonight after work, but in the last two weeks there has been a lot of progress I've noticed: - Concrete poured around the footings for the steel supports on the east and west sides of the heritage structure - The center steel supports have had caps welded on them...

We've seen the largest portion of those pending deals come to fruition with TD taking 33 floors in 160 Front, but it's interesting that there's speculation of a pending deal for 65 King East that was being built on spec. With not so many completions slated for the rest of 2019 I wouldn't be...

Walked by today and saw the lower unit opposite to Ellie Mae had signs in the window for 'The Purman.' The name sounds like it cooooooooould be a development and any of the vacant office space inside is up for short term leases, but I'm not getting my hopes up!

Thank you! This site is fairly tight so that makes sense, I've noticed a similar set up on 1 Yorkville. I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the terminology and the general way in which high-rises are built. Some front page stories about some of that sort of stuff might be interesting -...

With this fully leased now too it certainly paves the way for The Hub, Commerce Court 3, or Union Centre to accelerate. Out of the major office projects under construction right now almost all are nearly fully leased if I recall correctly. Won't be surprised to see announcements/construction...

Must have sold a couple of units by now. Shoring permit has been applied for! Really curious to see how construction is managed on this tight site

What are the odds this makes it to community council in the next month or two? I can't imagine that we'll have to wait a long time considering GG was likely in contact with the planning department/city prior to resubmitting the application.
