    Toronto The Twelve Hundred | 29.32m | 8s | Fieldgate | Arcadis

The corner is rounded in the rendering. The brick treatment on that corner looks hideous in the photos.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

The curb cuts are quite long to allow for driveway access across this bidirectional cycle track, which leaves enough space for vehicles to enter in some cases. Not sure how that can be fixed if the driveways need to remain operational.

Guelph Church Hill Residences | 12.61m | 4s | MF Property | Fryett Turner Architects

Nice architecture on floors 2-4 but the ground level is terrible: a big driveway and the side of a massive staircase with a blank wall facing the street.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I saw that, I just assumed from the total $5m amount it must have been in preparation for a specific project. So $5m just for transit platforms? That seems like a lot.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Infrequent Kitchener Line rider here. It's crazy how much the trip slows around Georgetown. Will any of the Metrolinx track improvements to the Kitchener Line address this area? I understand trains change from CN to Metrolinx track and Metrolinx to CN, but the slow zone is ~3km long. Travelling...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Special meeting of bid committee announced which includes spending $3m from cycling budget. No specific projects identified. Also includes spending 1.6m from Eglinton Connects budget. https://secure.toronto.ca/council/#/committees/2469/24263

GO Transit: Union Station Shed Replacement & Track Upgrades (Zeidler)

It feels like Metrolinx/GO have been talking about the USRC signal upgrades for more than 10 years now. This is the latest update I can find. It's from 2019, when the promised completion date was 2021: The project was already 9 years behind schedule at that point...

Toronto The Brownstones of Leaside | 14.65m | 4s | Impressions Group | Peter Higgins

Quite bare without any landscaping and no windows at street level.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Will the grade separation increase the speed limit and will that reduce travel time compared to the diamond condition? Trains seemed to noticeably slow near the diamond.

    Richmond Hill Evelyn Condos at Rise & Rose | ?m | 31s | Greenpark

Surface parking facing Yonge in front of a high rise residential building, that's crazy!

    Toronto 1111 Danforth Avenue | 45.85m | 13s | Core Development | Studio JCI

Still not liking the big glass box on top of the heritage building.

    Toronto 839 Yonge | 160.2m | 49s | CT REIT | Adamson

From the Yonge Street side, it looks like the towers were plunked down with no regard as to how they'd fit in with the base. It looks disjointed.

    Toronto 133 Erskine | 119.15m | 35s | Minett Capital | Arcadis

This application has only 26 rental replacement units when there are 162 existing units at 141 Erskine. Note that the application includes 133 Erskine, a much smaller building to the west on the corner of Redpath. My guess is that they will tear down 133 Erskine, replace it with 31 storeys and...

    Toronto Orca | ?m | 7s | Demirov Fine Homes | RAW Design

The part facing Kingston is not bad- why did they have to mess up the corner?

    Toronto Birch House & Indigenous Hub | 50.3m | 13s | Dream | Stantec

How did other sites in the West Don Lands maintain the City trees during construction, but this site cannot?

    Toronto The Hill Condos | 154.9m | 50s | Metropia | Arcadis

A huge slab with zero south setback only 4m north setback, 1.5m from Yonge Street. Not good.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I recall RER initially was to include all day service to the Hamilton GO Centre. Is this an indication that is no longer going to happen? West Harbour's location is slightly less convenient with respect to downtown, LRT connection, etc. Has WH been chosen over HGC because of issues with CPR?

    Toronto Eight Cumberland | 170m | 51s | Great Gulf | a—A

The tower at 1 Yorkville is 12.5m from the south lot line, but the tower at 8 Cumberland is only 7.5m from the north lot line. So the separation between the two is only 20m.

    Toronto Gorman Park Condos | 30.3m | 9s | Pinemount Developments | Icon

The City reached a settlement on this rezoning but then the owner flipped the site. That's likely why it's only an SPA. Pleased to see this moving forward.

    Toronto The Allen District | ?m | ?s | CreateTO | Perkins + Will

Will the additional recommendation push CreateTO for more affordable housing? Right now the plan is something like 300 out of 3,500 units would be affordable. Less than 9% seems pretty low for City-owned land.
