    Suggestions: A date around ROM?

I went to the ROM on a date as well (or at least I think its a date). We were there around 7:50pm til 9:30pm. Friday nights the ROM open for extended hours til 9:30pm. ..and there are couple of sofas scattered in discreet areas where I noticed couples snuggled up.

    Toronto Murano | ?m | 45s | Lanterra | a—A

^ never knew the building has setbacks like that. Went to the website and indeed for the south tower there there are penthouses up there. One of the floorplan is called the 'Bulicanti'. Perhaps North tower have something similar.

    TCHC: 501 Adelaide E / 288 King E (14s, aA)

The Older Women's Co-op and Old York Tower stuck out for me. Very nice and timeless. I notice the buildings liek to use brick alot on the facades, but if done correctly, it actually looks inviting and fitting within the surrounding urban landscape. I hope the current batch of TCHC housing with...

Milliken Centre (Steeles & Old Kennedy, Markham, MadyCorp, 7s, Kirkor)

Thanks Solaris, when I said 'anyone' I was really referring to you as I gather you know the history of this area (or many other areas I gather from this forum). Regarding pedestrian activity, there are already a fair amount of people walking along Steeles to either get to the shops on the...

Milliken Centre (Steeles & Old Kennedy, Markham, MadyCorp, 7s, Kirkor)

Wow, I never thought I see the day the autoshop and Milley's gone on Steeles. This area's redevelopment will be a welcome change from the development on the T.O side. I noticed on the Milliken Centre website there are renderings of townhomes, does anyone know where they are to be located...

Milliken Centre (Steeles & Old Kennedy, Markham, MadyCorp, 7s, Kirkor)

Interesting. This OPA definitely took a long time, and it seems the existing development follow the policies of the Secondary Plan. My concern is that this Secondary Plan will not materialize anytime soon. As ugly as it is, I don't see the auto shop and the gas bar where Milley's is situated...

    Pre-approval request.....

Yeah, that certainly sounds different alright. I am a 'property virgin', and I recently bought my first condo late last year. I wonder if imy agreement is reflective of more recent agreement wording for increased security to ensure the purchasers are legit due to past experiences. If this is not...

    Pastries in TO

^ Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts, 300 Adelaide Street East. The cafe there sells boxes of baked goods from the students from time to time. For 5 bucks you can pick and choose the boxes, first come first serve. I know they have a bigger bake sale too sometime during the year, but I...

    Pastries in TO

George Brown at Adelaide often sell student made artisan pastries and other baked goods for a fraction of the price other shops charge.

Thanks for moving the post to this proper thread. Out of curiosity, for comparison sakes, where are some of the co-ops you are referring to in T.O?

    Pre-approval request.....

When I was told by the vender to provide a pre-approved mortgage, I didn't take it too seriously, until I read my purchase agreement, and this may answer some questions raised: "At any time and from time to time prior to the Final Closing Date, the Purchase agrees to provide to the Vendor all...

TCHC: 501 Adelaide St. East Not sure if this is posted somewhere, but I can't find it in the development index. Please redirect this if it belongs somewhere else. Thanks. http://www.torontohousing.ca/investing_buildings/regent_park/501_adelaide_street_east Here are some shots from the...

    Richmond Hill Beverly Hills Condominium | ?m | 24s | Great Lands

^ "bubble tea belt". I never heard of that one! The architecture will be nice change of pace from the other ones existing in the area for sure. I wonder if the architectural details, such as the curved glass on the top floors of the podium will be watered down later on, or just deleted...

    Church-Wellesley Village

Its nice to see Malvern in a positive light. A good thing about the planning for the area is all the community facilities are close to each other. The Nike building recently constructed will only continue to add value to the community.

    Chinatown

Thanks Mustapha, I live relatively close to Pacific Mall, and despite my initial hate towards the place, I do appreciate how it has evolved over the years. Ha. Funny how when I see dangling pig, I think of crispy pork belly heaven, not...the massacre of Wilbur the pig!

    Chinatown

In terms of character, I prefer the the Chinatown at Gerrard, I think it has more of a mom and pop business feel to it, or at the very least what I gather from it. The street is narrower and the signage of stores more in-your-face. I still remember when my mom brought me to a small aquarium...

    Chinatown

I am surprised as well, and I think it's holding up pretty well compared to the Chinatown in Chicago, even New York City. Its the first thing I think of when I need to eat something when I am in the downtown area late at night. Regarding real estate, I know I am refering to the condos in the...
