    Church-Wellesley Village

I always noticed it when I walked down Jarvis, but it just doesn't seem like the patio would be very pleasant. The street is filled with fast-moving traffic and there are few pedestrians.

    Church-Wellesley Village

I'm surprised that nobody prominent is advocating for the city to scrap the ridiculous club restrictions. It's tantamount to "thow shalt not have any more gay clubs." Attempts to locate new gay clubs in the proscribed areas has been a total failure. Residential and entertainment uses mix...

Aaah okay, my bad. So Woody's must have sub-leased the space to Priape.

X definitely looks much better from the north or south. From the east or west it's very wide.

Tridel didn't clad the pillars on Verve until very late, so I would say that there's still hope.

Actually I remember reading that Woody's does own its space. It was in a story about Priape moving, because the old Priape space is also owned by Woody's. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

Is there a way to filter out the inane comments and just get The Star's updates?

That's once place I wouldn't mind shutting down. Mediocre overpriced food and terrible service. All they've got going for them is the big patio.

    Why the Hate for Mississauga?

His whole post reflects a complete misunderstanding of what makes a place urban and walkable. Does he really think a 2 foot strip of grass between the street and the sidewalk makes all the difference? And what about all those European cities? Terribly anti-pedestrian with their narrow sidewalks...

If it's anything like Verve it'll be a whole lot.

It's hard to tell from this angle, but the construction webcam seems to show that the project has hit ground level:

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Based on a quick look at Google Maps, both stations would be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by brush, golf courses and farms. Two more GO stations with massive parking lots and no transit access.

Unfortunately my costume is way too skimpy to be worn outdoors. Actually, that seems to happen every year. But isn't that what gay hallowe'en is all about?

    Why the Hate for Mississauga?

You can't force development, but you can certainly inform and guide it. Instead, Mississauga allowed developers to build runaway sprawl. Some people are understandably skeptical of the sudden change of heart, which seems to be driven more by necessity (no more greenfields to develop) than an...

    Toronto Residences at the RCMI Condos | 134.72m | 42s | Tribute | Zeidler

What about Portland, Seattle and Philly? Admittedly I haven't been to any of them, but from what I've read and heard they have a reputation for urbanity (by American standards, of course).

    Why? For historical reasons?

Back when I lived in Ottawa a few years ago, somebody was actually murdered in that fashion.

Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

I was in Chicago shortly after their Trump Tower was completed, and I honestly prefer our design. Theirs may be taller...but the more I looked at it the more blah it felt. Yeah, it had a few curves but the podium was completely overbearing and the cladding just didn't do it for me. I'm hopeful...
