Despite all the glass in this city — a material that is ostensibly transparent, aka see-through — we normally experience our towers as shiny, reflective objects that mirror the sky, and hide what's behind the glass. Way back in April of this year however, there was a day when the sun decided to hide behind the moon for a number of minutes, and suddenly the lighting situation was reversed. As caught by UrbanToronto Forum contributor DavidCapizzano whose photos we have been highlighting all week, One York suddenly gave up its secrets as the sun's light was blocked, revealing in silhouette the occupants of the building, gathered by the windows to marvel at the spectacle, and no doubt bemoan its evil portents.
