My girlfriend and I booked three, and we've done two so far. Lunch at Canoe was great - they really get you on the drinks but I was happy with the entire meal and service. They are generally faster in service. Dinner at Auberge Du Pommier was okay - first course was this disgusting fish...

Aren't Wine Racks and the like owned under the LCBO? Besides, their selection is poor...and that's a big factor. I wonder who would put up the dough to purchase the LCBO and privatize it?

Yeah they like bending it like that. When CUPE releases numbers on voting, they say stuff like "73% voted YES for the strike"...when it really means...73% of the people that were there - and probably only 10 people showed up, not the entire registered union members.

CUPE is all about striking and asking for a lot at a time when others are struggling. York University strike is a good example. They're just irritating. ARGH. I think unions are irrelevant these days.

So the LCBO is threatening to strike and will probably halt any source of booze within this province. This is turning into a very prohibition era type thing...and I'm starting to wonder what we'll do if we're all dried up! My thought: I'm just gonna start brewing moonshine in a bathtub...

it's sad really. never before have we seen so many people that do nothing in life be famous for doing just that. myspace has made it so that anyone with enough "friends" has some sort of marketing power. tila tequila, etc. they do nothing...have no real talents, and just look dumbfounded...
