    New rides at Wonderland

Five to six years ago I finally got to experience megacoasters with trips to Darien Lake (Superman) and Cedarpoint (Millenium Force and Magnum XL-200.) That was quite the experience after a steady diet of Canada's Wonderland coasters. I've been wanting a megacoaster at CW for some time now. A...

Northern Construction Update: Eglinton, NY Centre, Sheppard, Scar Centre

I actually like Chateau Royale and 900 Mt Pleasant far more than any boxy all-glass office tower wannabe condo. Bleah.

Death of Clubland (aka: Is Adam Vaughan trying to kill the Club District?)

That is a very good idea MetroMan. You should send that in to him.

    Toronto Clear Spirit | 131.36m | 40s | Cityscape | a—A

There's 80 pages of posts. I read the last couple of pages. Everyone seemed pretty positive.

Am I the only one that thinks this building looks out of place in the Distillery District? Not height but the appearance. At least the base floors have brick to fit in though you don't notice that until you're close to the building.

I'm not bitching about the current noise level. I'm used to it because of where I used to live previously. I was fully aware at the time of purchase what the noise levels will be. I'm just saying that the one and only bright spot of Glas and Charlie (for me) is that noise should be reduced...

At the time of my pre-construction purchase at the Hudson I knew that Glas was going up eventually. I was fine with that. I'd still have some view and would likely get some reflected sun of the hideous Glas building in the morning. The only time we could take advantage of our balcony would be in...

I've been wanting a supermarket to go in there. Loblaw's never would but the MEC site would be fine for a Sobey's. At my old place I had a supermarket right around the corner. It was quite nice to be able to buy groceries on demand.

I'm looking over the pricing... Holy crap! That's insane. A comparable unit (plus all extra bits like parking, lockers and floor level) to mine is approximately $296,990 when I paid $198,400. Almost $100,000 more.

I paid $20K when sales opened five years ago. I thought that was robbery then. Now, geez!

    Crackdown on Red Light Running

Oh, the proposed fine increase is still a joke. Try a minimum $1000 fine. If there's a crash involved then the fine should go up even higher. I'm sure the insurance companies are licking their chops over the proposed six demerit points and a nice big hike in insurance rates for those convicted.

    Crackdown on Red Light Running

There's plenty of time if you have a long stride and aren't a dead slow walker.

Fez Batik to be turned into homeless shelter

No it's asinine. How retarded are those people at City Hall that either think this is a good idea or have an axe to grind against club owners and patrons? I'm neither a club owner nor a patron (I don't particularly like most clubs) but as a home owner in the area, it makes no sense to build a...

    Separate cars from streetcars

I live at King & Spadina. It's bad enough that I can only enter and exit the parking garage one way (Spadina northbound) but to eliminate cars on King as well? No way! At best I'd agree to a one way on King as long as it's westbound.
