    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

Well, I believe the McD's at Queen & Spadina and the Timmy's at King & John are open 24 hours. The selection of which Sobeys and Shopper's that are open even in downtown Toronto puzzle me. Seems to me that the Cityplace Sobey's and King & Peter Shopper's are naturals for 24 hour operations...

    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

For groceries, Rabba at Front & Peter is 24 hours. Reggies, the sandwich place besides Craft Burger, is 24 hours. Sobey's at CityPlace is open until 11pm. Shoppers is open until midnight. Both of them frustrate me when I see other stores of theirs out in the boonies open 24 hours. What I...

    Toronto 2015 Pan American Games

If this was 100% private money then I'd be all for Pan-Am, Olympics, Commonwealth, etc Games. We all know that's not the case and the taxpayer will get stuck with an enormous bill.

    Sightings ...

Rex Murphy,, last night at Queen's Quay. That's the second time we've bumped into him on a Thursday around that night.

    Where would you live?

Right where I am at King & Spadina but in a much bigger condo. :D

    Sightings ...

Richard Rodier, lawyer mouthpiece for Jim Balsillie, this morning underground at First Canadian Place.

    Toronto Gläs Condos | ?m | 16s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Other than the black bricks, I still think Glas is ugly. I hate all glass condos.

    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

Crap. At least with the attached Vintages good wine will be had. On the three story design were the additional floors made out of construction paper and pipe cleaners? I wonder why the insurance company wouldn't cover it. I just hope that a good store manager is there so that there's...

Interesting photos though that doesn't look like a three story building to me.

    Insurance rates going up drastically.

My insurance went down. I've been paying around $1900 but this year it's about $1600. I don't drive to work and have very low mileage on my car. I think the insurance company goes as low as 15K for mileage but I'm way lower than that every year. I wonder if the drop is related to me no longer...

I really, really, really hope that's true. I would prefer an even taller store but I'll take three floors.

    City Workers Strike 2009

The Toronto Police have had two big eggs on there faces this year. The first was the Tamil protesters debacles with the tying up of city streets particularly the Gardiner incident. Now siding with their union brethren and not helping out the general public at dump sites when the union members...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

Yes. For Montreal, most corner stores carry the LCD (lowest common denominator) beers: the big boys nationally in Canada, USA and in Quebec. Bleah. Some stores carry some Quebec micros. An even smaller number have an excellent selection of Quebec micros. I usually go to two places, one is Rahman...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

The import selection is pathetic. It's just the big macro stuff that's available as far as what I've found. I was really hoping that Montreal would have beer from New York, Vermont, Maine, etc. Nothing.

    LCBO / The Beer Store

That's what the OCB should do. The government allows that for the Ontario wine producers so I don't see why the brewerys should be treated any differently. I'd love to be able to get some bottled Church Key, Beau's and Grand River products here in Toronto.

Time for a tunnel to airport island?

This downtown resident likes having the airport there. I haven't used Porter yet but would consider it for trips to NYC, Montreal, etc. It's certainly easier than hauling ass out to Pearson. I have a friend who lives in one of the Queen's Quay condos. He faces the island airport. I've been at...

Roads: Keep the Gardiner, fix it, or get rid of it? (2005-2014)

As mentioned already, a park over the rail corridor is a better idea. How much weight can the Gardiner take with that on top especially in winter? How much $$$ needs to be spent to retrofit it to support that weight? I drive on the Gardiner 2-6 times a month. I'd rather the money be spent on...

    Toronto Queen & Portland Loft & Condominium Residences | ?m | 9s | Tribute | Turner Fleischer

Good news definitely. I wonder if the Winners there means that the Winners at King & Spadina will be closing down so development at K&S can mean a bigger building and hopefully a flagship LCBO store rather than just a smallish single level store. *crossing fingers*

    Toronto Street Food

I had a street food experience in Taiwan. I'm usually leary of such food especially during a short vacation as I don't want to take the chance of being stuck in the bathroom or bed for a few days. However if you're with natives they can take you to the good places. We went to one place that had...

    Indoor plants

We've had a bamboo plant for over a year now. It's in a glass vase that has some little rocks, dirt and a gel down at the bottom. We get very little direct sunlight other than early in the morning for maybe 20-30 minutes. I water the plant once a week. Easy as pie. It has grown a fair bit with...
