well that one is a few blocks away at least. this one would be DIRECTLY across the street. and ah coffee snobs... always make me smirk. but if we wanna use silly names, i think all coffee is 'swill'... i'll take a good earl grey over one any day.

Um.. really? As interchange42 said, there is already one directly across the street...

+1 That's exactly what it is. On their own many cityplace buildings would be quite impressive. Bunch them all together and even I'll admit they become a bit monotonous...

Interesting that this building will ultimately be considered in some ways 'taller' than Scotia Plaza because of the spire that will eventually surpass the height of it... but in reality Trump still appears to be completely dwarfed by Scotia Plaza (from every single angle).

Agreed... it would look incredible with a spire on top. I think the antennae as they are however make the building look terrible.

Indeed. To be honest I wasn't that upset... VIA did all they could to accomodate us. And I met a bunch of interesting people. Beats driving to Montreal any day (although I'm still torn between getting there via Porter or VIA).

Don't think so... not based on what everyone has been talking about for the last few months: http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=111403&page=21

Any news on anything happening with the antennae? I think the reclad looks great, but the horrendous mess of antennas at the top of this building will always make it look terrible. Reason I ask is the free-to-air crowd is talking about how CityTV and Omni are moving their broadcast sites from...

Nope... suicides are NEVER mentioned in the news. It's done on purpose - when people who are contemplating suicide hear/read about other people doing it, they become even more inclined to do so. That was before. Ours was scheduled to arrive at Union around 8:30pm... we didn't actually get in...

Yup. And I would guess 100 is an incredibly conservative estimate. Actually just yesterday I was on a VIA train from Montreal to Toronto and someone jumped off a bridge and collided with our train. We were stuck there for about 4.5 hours while they investigated and picked up all the body...

Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Bell Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

Re-read my post. I was saying it was discovered there was no problem in MY building (apex) with any of the balcony railings.

Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Bell Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

That lady is misinformed. A railing fell off one of the balconies at 361 Front (Matrix/CityPlace). After that happened the condo management company locked off all the balconies as a precaution until an engineering assessment could be done on all the balconies on the building. A similar...

The windows facing Dundas raise up and create an open sort of atmosphere... they call this area their 'patio'

Jeebus.... I understand paying a bit more for luxury... but really... a million bucks? My place is about 100sqft smaller, about a 5 minute walk away, and costs 60% less

Toronto CityPlace Puente de Luz Bridge | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex | Francisco Gazitua

it would be kinda weird crossing that bridge... there's absolutely nothing on the north side once you get there from cityplace. front street is completely barren in that area. i don't even think there's a sidewalk on that side of the street (south) where the bridge meets front. i wonder what...

The 'bottlecap' tops are much less prominent when looking at the buildings in person... in fact I never even notice them until I look at pictures in this thread.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

What people fail to realize about the Red Sox/Yankees game is that more TORONTO fans go to them too. Yes the Red Sox/Yankees fans account for a bit of the crowds at the games, but the reality is that most JAYS fans also like to see matchups against our division rivals - particularly when they...
