    Restaurant Comings & Goings

And this is my friends will be the future, as more and more condo's displace all the businesses in the downtown core. As existing restaurants & bars try to relocate into the base of all the new condos being planned, all the people who moved into the core to be close to the action, will be the...

    Toronto 619 Yonge | 237.99m | 70s | YI Developments | Core Architects

When Yonge is filled with 60 Floor condos with a Starbucks, a dry cleaner, and a bank branch at the base, what will be the reason for anyone to walk down Yonge? Tourists will have no interest...even people living in the area will need to travel outside of the area for any kind of excitement...

888 Yonge (Masonic Temple, potential redevelopment)

A couple of years ago House of Blues was actively looking for a space in Toronto. You might have something here! This might be a perfect location for them!!

    Church-Wellesley Village

The Housing Market needs to crash.

A study by a company that is in the mortgage business...Very credible...What are they going to do? Publish something that says the market is going to get worse and their business is going to suffer?

I though fly was ok to stay in that location until at least 2015 based on their current lease?

    Toronto 50 at Wellesley Station | 114.9m | 37s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

Are there not enough empty lots & buldings that are falling apart in the area that can be used first? Greenleaf, I have been inside one of the houses last year, and it is was very well maintained inside.

    Church-Wellesley Village

Flash was opened by the owner of Play. I guess he planned ahead and opened up another bar, knowing he was going to have to close.

    Toronto King Blue by Greenland | 155.75m | 48s | Greenland | Arcadis

I am not convinced...I predict bank branches, Dry Cleaners, and Convenience stores. Oh and can't forget a Starbucks on every corner.

    Toronto 87 Peter | 156.05m | 49s | Menkes | Core Architects

We may end up with more "supper clubs" as we are seeing on King West and Liberty village. Restaurants which turn into nightclubs after 10pm. I would love to see a few big nightclubs remain, but the supper club / lounge concept is better than a Rabba, Dry cleaner, and starbucks on every corner.

    Toronto Fabrik Condos | 56.99m | 17s | Menkes | Giannone Petricone

This is what I have been saying for years...The "entertainment district" will be a place where all the neighbors look at each other from their balconies 20 feet across from each other and ask each other what there is to do besides go to the Starbucks at street level...Perhaps they will get in...
