Fly closing party is tonight. Landlord asking for 24,000 a month. Not sure of the details , but it seems very high , especially if it is short term. Who is going to invest in a place that has a very short term life?

Soon everyone living downtown will need cars to go outside of the core for their entertainment.

There was actually a group of people in our building emailing about an issue. Nobody got a reply. I'm not expecting a personal reply from her, but some sort of acknowledgement from her office staff would have been nice.

Her office doesn't respond to any inquiries, unless you are interested in putting up another condo. She doesn't care about any of the issues in her ward. Definitely not voting for her this year.

We are short on venues of that can hold 2000 - 2500 people. Sound Academy is probably the only venue left...That is not good.

Apparently Sound Academy will be completely renovated. A new large entertainment venue is actually already in the works by INK, although it will take about 3 years before we see it! No word on where it would be or other details at the moment.

There are stabbings and shootings all over the city...Shopping malls, Schools, on the streets, Office buildings, homes...

I see on the restaurants facebook page that they just closed suddenly. Something happened recently!

They installed a new LED lighting system and made improvements to the sound. They waited until the new lease was signed before making the changes. Not major renovations but certainly not changes you would make if you were being thrown out in the short term.

The owners of the club at that location recently signed a new lease expiring sometime in 2022 or 2023. I can't remember the date. Seems odd to sign a long term lease just a few months ago? The club even put in a few dollars renovating the place.

No Date from what I can see. I am not even sure where exactly they are moving too. Anybody know? I always enjoyed going there for lunch / brunch. I am happy they are moving and not closing!

You are missing the " Mystic Point". (sorry I couldn't resist) What nobody wants, whether gay or straight, is another bank branch or Shoppers Drug mart at the base of the condo.

Does that base include a Starbucks, dry cleaner, Rabba, or nail salon?
