    Blue Jays

If a similar thread exists I apologize, but I was in town recently and caught a Jays victory over the Twins... Rogers Centre was louder and fuller than I can remember; ESPN and various US press are doing various exposes on the team, and yet I'm nonplussed as to why there is no chat on UT about...

365-367 Queen Street West (Silver Snail site, 3s, Montgomery Sisam)

By the way, I absolutely love the front door as it currently sits; I hope they keep something similar when finished...That would be a wonderful and perplexing portal to enter for the first time... I'm thinking someone involved with this project enjoyed their Lewis Carroll and Dr Seuss as a child!

365-367 Queen Street West (Silver Snail site, 3s, Montgomery Sisam)

Awkward, but intentionally so I think... I personally love it; it seems oddly derivative of that twisted house in Prague, without the twists... It's an odd comparison, but that's what pops into my head... Anyways it's fun and a bit silly and a bit irreverant; all things great cities should...

Hooters aside, that's a brilliant pic, Red Mars... I was in town a few weeks ago, skulking around the nabe, and it looks really amazing... A really underrated few blocks, all around...

I agree that it's not "dull" when compared to your typical North American highrise proposal... Having said that, with the location, name, height and architect behind this project, it feels like a letdown to see what sits before us today... I know it's a "process" that might be subject to further...

I'm clearly in the minority, but fully agree with UD; this latest design is pedestrian at best for Foster... The Bow in Calgary, the Gherkin, his new tower in Madrid... Hell, even the shelved U2 tower in Dublin is far more cutting-edge and eternal than what this design has morphed into... Sorry...

Urbandreamer; I know you have a certain way of analyzing things that doesn't come from the norm, but thx for the photo updates... They're worth more than the sum of all previous arguments... Same for all like-minded photojournalists (IE: Big Builder)... Keep posting pics...

Interesting article... I can't wait to see what's about to be revealed; usually I can conjure up a mental image in my mind, but I'm flummoxed... Is the reveal still planned for this week?

Thanks Scamander24 and those who have been contributing photos lately... Usually large photographic contributions come at a far better rate on UT than they have been lately... I'm thinking winter has a lot to do with it... For us out-of-towners, these photo updates are greatly appreciated... I...

My pleasure... I forgot to add the armour exhibit as one of our favs as well... That was a real unexpected treat...

The amount of new developments "in the churn" is mind-boggling... There must be demand, but I'm having a hard time keeping up... This project is great in that it extends the skyline northward as will Humber Bay westward... I'd love to fast-forward 10 years ahead to see which of these numerous...

    ROM or Ripley's?

Back from Orlando and our layover in TO... We freed up a bit more time and hit the ROM... Great experience, and although we had to rush it a little bit, it was a great 4 hours! A few random thoughts (Again, my wife and myself haven't been in 15 or so years...): 1) Liebeskind's "Crystal" is much...

    ROM or Ripley's?

TO Area fan, Tewder and AofD... I very much am taking various pieces of your advice to heart... We're going ROM or bust so long as we can squeeze a few extra minutes in... We have had more than a few Thai restaurants open in Saskatoon over the past few years, so we're scrapping YT and plowing...

    ROM or Ripley's?

Thanks to everyone who replied... This is a win-win either way; glad to confirm a few things I had rolling about in my head... Leaning ROMish IF a few things allow us to spend a bit more time than my previous estimate... Thanks again to all and I'll send a follow-up either way...

    ROM or Ripley's?

We're off to Orlando (from Saskatoon) and have an 8 hour layover in TO... Our plan (myself, wife and our 12 and 13 year olds) is to rent a car and take in one of the two (Not going to SeaWorld in Orlando) previously mentioned sites... We'd have 2 1/2 to 3 hours to do one or the other... We're...
