I hope that vague plan is still on Brookfield's radar. The interior space is in dire need of some upgrade. Hopefully the plan wasn't completely discarded after Saks chose the Queen st. location.

On that note, there's another Korean supermarket opening soon near Yonge and Wellesley at 558 Yonge st (Galleria Supermarket). It will have a smaller format but *may* have a take out section like the one from York Mills and Don Mills (I may be wrong on the latter).

This location also capitalizes on the student population at Ryerson and U of T who lives in the vicinity. It is the same distance away from UC building as Baldwin st. and with FIVE/U condo/Thousand Bay/Britt/Teahouse/11 Wellesley I'd imagine the foot traffic will be sizeable in the near future...

The place is now leased. Tenant is a popular Taiwanese cuisine and bubble tea house called Green Grotto. Move in date is summer 2017. They have a location just a block north on St Joseph right now, and the new location will be their flagship store.

Posting this article here, although this could be relevant for Union Centre/30 Bay/160 Front West as well: TD is looking for ~550,000 square feet of office space in Toronto.
