How old is this parking lot now being dug up? Not that I am complaining, it just amazes me that the cost of constructing a lot can be recouped in such a short time. And if it can, why does anyone bother building anything?

I love the food at Boston Pizza's. My personal favourite is the Rustic Italian Pizza. I'd prefer Kelsey's or Jack Astor's to Applebee's. Chilli's is good. Texas Roadhouse and Steak n Shake I can't speak to as I have never been.

You prefer this marquee to the LED screen at TLS? Do you prefer silent films to talkies?

I appreciate the news updates and the pictures. I have long grown tired of both the criticism and defence of this building in large part because I thought everything that could be said about this building has been. Apparently I was wrong. The building has a new sin. It drowns out other urban noise.

Wow, the haters are really scraping the bottom of the barrell now. Too much noise from the HVAC? So what urban street noise are you not able to enjoy? The audible pedestrian crossing signals or the sound of a kid driving a $3,000 Honda Civic with a $5,000 sound system in the trunk?

Sorry but picnic tables in the middle of Yonge Street isn't exactly Champs-Elysées. Sounds like a cheap gimmicky idea a small town would try to "revitalize" their dying downtown. Pedestrian malls aren't all they are cracked up to be. Have you ever visited Sparks Street in downtown Ottawa...

The sidewalks are far too narrow particularly on the northeast corner of Yonge and Dundas. If it hasn't happened already, it is only a matter of time before someone gets pushed on to the street and into the path of a truck. Make Yonge Street one way northbound only and widen the sidewalks.

Wow. Thanks for the great pictures. For the record, despite its flaws, I think this photo is proof that this project has added much to this intersection.

Globe: Planning for new roads with a green blueprint

I'll do you one better. I predict that in five years gas will be under a $1/L. That is unless government doesn't crank up the taxes.

To the critics of TLS is what we had before the expropriation better or worse than what we have today? Does the construction of TLS subtract from the area or simply not add as much to the area as it should?

...well except for the 50,000 people coming in and out of the Rogers Centre. But besides that there is very little pedestrian traffic at all.

As if Toronto would ever construct an elevated expressway over a surface street bordered with highrise buildings on either side...oh wait. Nevermind.
