Given they already have the approval for 91 storeys, the most logical business solution would be to build high and chop the bigger units into smaller more affordable units. I can see why the 7-10 million dollar units aren't selling, but if all of a sudden they became 2-4 million dollar smaller...

I was downtown this weekend. Took some shots of CIBC. Sorry if it's a duplication of what's already been posted. This one is climbing so fast. And it's going to fill in the skyline from many vantage points.

I was downtown on Thursday last week and now that this beauty is finished, it really does stand out as one of the big office towers. It has prominence and size (both height and girth). It has really added to the skyline from multiple angles. I had a friend with me who has never been to Toronto...

They will obviously use this tower for branding. That's why they went with the digital screen logos. I can already see it... during Maple Leaf games it'll all light up in blue and white. During Raptor season it'll be red and black. During Pride it'll be a rainbow. I think the defacto colour will...

Yeah initial renderings had the logos all aligned. But it seems at the last minute they updated it adding the green lit top, and the sign lower. Im sure they have their reasons for it.

None of those proposals will ever see the light of day. Many will likely be resubmitted as condo projects. I don't see any office towers being built in the next decade. After that, who knows. Unlikely anything big.
