Not sure if mentioned yet, but I noticed on the hoarding recently that there's a sign for Farm Boy. Talk about turning into a massive grocery location -- there's a Sobeys and Lobawls about a two minute walk away both east and west.

I think it's because the rules are counter intuitive. If we're going to create rules, they need to be easy to understand and intuitive so that the behaviour can be learned quickly and can become second nature to drivers both local and visiting. We have too many convoluted rules and exceptions...

I hope this increase foot traffic and brings more of a neighbourhood feel to the area. It feels like it was just yesterday that they announced this.

These renders look great. I grew up around this area and it is in dire need of redevelopment. I'm glad this is being developed here, because, if anything, it'll extend commerce further west of Dufferin.

Wouldn't it have been better to put the bike lanes on the other side of the trees and beside the pedestrian sidewalk?

I really hope this area has more smaller-scale commerce at street level similar to places like Barcelona. Huge transit hub, but streets full of people. I would hate it if this turned into yet another car-dependent neighbourhood.

Having just visited Barcelona and Lisbon, I have no idea why TTC/Metrolinx went with the faregates that they did. Why not something more substantial that works better and faster and is (from what I've seen) less prone to breaking.
